Doubting Flower

19 3 2

When the water won't put fire out,
That's how you know I'm starting to doubt

When the rain starts falling up and not down,
That's when my smile has become a frown

When we decide to dream both day and night,
The monsters under my bed will give me a fright

When the ice will never melt away,
The voices in my head have a lot to say

When this sorry world has begun to turn black,
That's how you know I can't turn back

When no one can stop my wandering feet,
That's when my heart will cease to beat
