Albus and the gang were heading back to Hogwarts the next day, but no one was too excited. In fact, Albus had forgotten they had to go back until James hit him with his Firebolt and told him to start packing up. Albus stood in front of his trunk, rubbing his head and contemplating the idea of death.
Why did it have to be Grandpa Weasley? How-
"Albus you better stop staring at that trunk of yours, if I didn't know better, I would've thought you were going mad," James was glancing at him with a smirk.
"That smirk of yours shouldn't be there, after all, I was the one who found out about you and your girlfriend, so I suggest you stop bothering me."
James scowled, and muttered something that sounded pretty rude.
"Hurry up you guys, I'm not getting any younger here!" said Lily, who was glaring at them.
"Of course you're not getting any younger, how is that even possible? Geez Lils, you gotta get your facts straight," James replied.
Lily gave James a look and rolled her eyes. "What is your brain made of? Rocks? Or has it gotten all mushed up since you're in love or whatever. It was an expression for Merlin's sake!"
The Hogwarts Express was coming to a stop as they all waited at Platform 9 and 3/4. As Albus looked back and waved at his parents, he could see the pain behind their smiles. The shock of Grandpa Weasley's death was still positioning itself into their minds. Albus sighed, and slid into his seat. He looked around at his siblings and cousins, the same sorrowful expression on each of their faces.
"Well, I guess it's gonna be a long ride to Hogwarts," Albus remarked.
