'' Avery, you okay? Who's that?! '' Niall asks me, sounding really concerned. He tries to pick up my phone, but I keep it from him. I just can't believe who's calling, and what is happening.
'' H-, help me, Avery. I'm begging you on my knees. I-, I should've listen to you... You were right. About everything. '' I hear her voice cry to me,.
'' Where are you? '' I ask quickly, hurried to take Alexis away from these troubles. Next to me, Niall stands up and looks at me really concerned as he bites his nails. I look up at him, feeling my eyes watering more and more.
'' You will receive a message... But he says don't call the police cause otherwise he'll hurt me... Like, really bad. '' Alexis says, trying not to cry but failing.
'' Okay. Don't worry love, I will get you of there. It's my fault if you have all these troubles, so it's to me to help you getting out of them. '' I say just before hanging up and deleting the call. Niall quickly comes to me and asks what's going on. He lifts my chin up, forcing me to look at him.
'' Babe, you know you can tell me anything! I'm here for you. '' At his words, I can't help but fall on the couch and cry, burrying my face in my hands. My boyfriend sits next to me and wraps his arms around my waist, hugging my tightly. I can feel his warm tears falling down on my shirt, so I look back at him and wipe the tears that's on his cheeks.
'' Alexis... Tyler k-, kidnapped her. Well, he took her somewhere and she said she heard Skye's voice. '' I stutter as he places a lock of my hair behind my ear.
'' You know we have to call the police Avery... '' He says after sighing, but I shake my head and grab his hand that was gonna pick up the phone. '' We can't. Or he will hurt her. Alexis said he will send us a message so we can know where they are. ''
'' But how do you know this isn't a trick to kidnap you? '' He asks, but I shake my head again. '' I know my best friend too much, she was being honest. '' Then, Niall stands up and helps me getting up, then we both walk to the door where a letter waits us.
Deep inside, I know this is a trick. I know that when I will get to my friend, they will take me. But I prefer it that way. Alexis doesn't have to pay for my mistakes. Even her doesn't know all of this... She doesn't know their plan. But I do. I just can't let Niall and Alexis know that, because Niall would call the police and Alexis would do everything to get their attention from me.
Niall is driving to the address written on the paper, who looks dirty and old, like they took it from the garbage. He finally stops the car and I turn to him.
'' Stay here. It's better that I go alone. '' I say, holding tears from falling down. He grabs my hand and hold it tightly, frowning.
'' No, i'm coming with you. I'd be crazy to let you go there all alone! That's what they want! '' I look down and sigh at his statement, knowing he was right. But I couldn't let him come with me and save me, or they would kill Alexis before we could find her. I look back at him, and holding the tears is getting harder and harder.
'' She said I had to go alone, or they'd hurt her... But stay near, just in case. '' I lie, trying to avoid his look subtly. He leans to me, kissing my lip passionately and desperately. My lips hold onto his, knowing deep inside that this is maybe the last kiss we share. I enjoy every second of this kiss, but we have to pull away someday.
'' I love you, Niall Horan. '' I say just before opening the door and walking away from his car. I can hear a '' I love you too, Avery Alden. '' from now far away. I know he follows me subtly, trying to stay near. As I walk closer, I notice a big fence. But I can't look better that I feel a grip on my arm. My eyes are quickly close and all I see is black. The grip is strong and it takes me away... Away from my life.
