You were in the orphanage because your parents dropped you off as a baby. It wasn't as bad as people portrayed it to be, you were quite happy there. You made friends with all the kids, the lady that ran the place was really nice, and you didn't have that much toys but you liked all the ones you did have. Anyone could imagine how heartbroken you were when they said you would be adopted soon.
You were hugging and saying goodbye to all the kids there since everyone knew you, when they called you to go meet your new parents. You were expecting there to be a couple, but to your surprise it was as it looked to be a brother sister duo. This surprised you, but you weren't expecting them to look THIS young either.
"This is Vash, and this is his little sister Lili. From now on he's going to be your new dad and she's going to be your new aunt." The caretaker, Sarah, said with a hint of sadness in her voice.
You look at them contemplating whether or not you should respond or not.
"Hi, I'm (y/n)." You say trying not to just dismiss them completely.
The girl, Lili, smiled at you.
"Okay well we should be in our way now. Let's go (y/n)." Vash says.
Right when you were about to enter the car, you waved goodbye to your friends one last time.
During the ride to your new home nobody really talked except when the three of you briefly discussed the rules of the house(it was mostly Vash).
You fell asleep during the ride, but when you woke up you saw the green meadow, and a semi-big(?) house. You have never really seen such a big house before, and you were amazed at how nice it looked.
Lili looked behind to see how big your eyes have gotten at the sight of the place you'll now call "home", and smiled.
"Before you go out and explore the place we'll have to show you your room first." Lili said, breaking the silence as you three got out of the car.
Vash got a call and left. A little later he came back.
"I just got a call from my boss, he said I have an assignment, and it shouldn't take too long." He explained.
"Oh okay, just try to come home before dinner." Lili said.
You and Lili both said your goodbyes to Vash, and he left.
When you couldn't see his car anymore Lili took your hand and led you to your room.
When you two got there, you were stunned at how amazing it looked. Although there weren't a lot of toys, they left room on the shelves for the ones you already have, the wall were painted (favorite color(s)), and your bed was fluffy and big.
"Is this your room? It's so big?" You said.
Lili looked at you and laughed "No silly! This is where YOU'RE going to stay!"
You looked at her like she was crazy. Could this room really be MY room? Sure enough Lili left you to go unpack your things and let you explore the rest of the house.
Before you went on to explore you got out a small notepad and a pencil. This was a present from the caretaker lady for your birthday. You also had pencil crayons and another bigger book for a diary. Everyone at the orphanage knew you liked to draw, and you drew well for a (one-digit age) kid.
You began to map out the house, each page was for each floor. You knew you wouldn't need it once you got use to the house, but it would be very useful right now.
Once you were done, the sun was beginning to go down, and you went to your room. When you got there you looked outside the window to see that Vash was already home. You stayed in your room and drew until Lili called you down for dinner.
Once you were down at the table you saw Vash and Lili already sitting at the table.
"You can sit here!" Lili called out to you.
"Um...okay." You said and sat down.
"So, what did you do today?" Vash asked.
You were surprised but you still responded "I made a map of the house."
Vash was surprised, but didn't question it.
After a little while you asked "Can I just call you guys my siblings? Because you don't really look that old to be my parents."
Lili and Vash looked surprised but agreed.
"Sure! I wouldn't really feel right if you called me aunt either." Lili said.
Vash didn't say anything but you could tell that it was okay with him as well.
Over the first month you were there, you and Lili grew closer and it really felt like you two were actual sisters. Although he didn't really show it, Vash really did like you a lot and even let you join Lili for her "self defense" lessons.
Although you missed your friends a lot, they showed you how to make letters and send them to people. You still remember the day that they helped you make the letter, and two days later a letter came in the mail for you. You were so excited and ever since then you have been making letters to the orphanage.
All your close friends, and even the caretaker have been writing to you and making sure that you know what's been happening since you left.
Before you left you were the oldest, and now your best friend (name) had been the new eldest over there.
The next month after you left the orphanage, you, Vash, and Lili went to a forest on a nature walk.
"Lili what's that?" You ask.
"Oh, that's a-" Lili said before Vash cut her off.
"That's a highly dangerous animal and you need to stay away from it!"
"It's just a squirrel..." Lili said.
"It could still be dangerous!" Vash said.
You and Lili look at each other and start laughing, and soon later Vash starts chuckling a bit.
While on the walk Lili and Vash point out what type of plants and trees everything is, but mostly Vash pointed out the dangerous ones.
Once you three finished the walk, you went to the car and left. In the car you fell asleep, but when you woke up you were in bed. You decided everyone else was sleeping too so you drifted back to sleep dreaming of all the fun things you guys would do next.
