He told me he loved me. That his heart flutters at the sight of my face, my body. Where was this when I was still a creature growing from the ground? He tells me that though now he realizes, just at this moment, how much he cares for me, he also tells me that I was the one to lift his spirits through every day of loneliness.

My human had prayed to the gods, though I never knew more than the one, dear Mother Nature. Dear Caterina. He had prayed to his own for a 'wife', for someone to live with him through his years of life. I am to think that I was changed to please him, but will I be pleased myself?
