HE walked slowly to the empty seat beside me, his eyes on me every passing step.

He sat down on the seat and smirked, then he looked ahead at Mr.Daxton.
I shook my head and took out my notebook and favorite pen. I also took out my whiteout, a pencil, an eraser, and two highlighters. I tend to be overly prepared at times.

"Do you really need all of that for one class, hope?" A husky yet gentle voice said but I ignored it because he said "hope."

When did we get a hope in this class?

"Hey, rosy cheeks. I'm talking to you," I turned to see him looking at me. I looked at his tight shirt and his chest pocket, seeing a name tag.

Javen.

He raised a perfectly shaped eyebrow at me once I met his eyes.

"Do you pluck your eyebrows?" My mouth had a mind of its own, and I thought it so I said it. I tend to have the habit of not following the whole "think before you say" thing.

He gave out a chuckle that sent a shiver down my spine,"No I don't. Do you pluck yours, hope?"

"Why yes Javen, yes I do. And why do you call me hope if I may ask?" I crossed my arms over my chest.

Javen leaned over towards me so our faces were inches apart. This was not a good idea since we were in the front of the classroom, so it gave people quite a show.

"You'll know soon, hope."

I took out my phone and google "How to get rid of stretch marks".

I admit it, I was very overweight as a kid and I never exercised. After a couple of months, I went to my doctor and found out I weighed a lot more than my parents and so I began dieting and exercising.

After three years, I got into a good place in weight and was proud of myself. Sadly, the stretch marks were left there as a reminder to keep my weight in check.

I scrolled through my phone when Lexi Johnson came up to me.

"Hey, Evalana! Do you mind helping me out to pass these scrapbooking club flyers?" I nodded robotically and half-minded and she jumped up and down, her blonde hair bouncing slightly with the movement and her grey eyes sparkling.

I gave her a slight smile and walked towards the lunch area, the colorful flyers in my hand.

I went through the doors and started at the first table by the door. I smiled and told them about the club. After half an hour spent in handing out flyers, I was at my last table. This table however, held the Alancaris. They seem to be huddled together in one table like a pack.

I breathed in and put a smile on my face, walking over to them.

"Hey," I spoke softly with a small smile. They all turned to look at me, there judging eyes on me. All except two pairs of eyes looked kindly at me. One pair of striking blue eyes being Javen's, and the other being a pair of dark brown from a girl whose name tag said Axi.

I cleared my throat and felt my cheeks heat up," Um, I just wanted to tell you guys that there's a scrapbooking club after school today. You'll get your very own camera and all the materials will be given to you. It'll be really fun and you can not only make memories but record them physically as well. It's only from 3 to 4:30 and you can leave when you want, plus there's free food-"

"No."

My smile slightly faltered as I looked at Daxoren, who was looking at his fries and gelatin with a bored look on his face. Assandria, who was next to him, smacked him upside the head and scowled at him.

"Stop being rude or I'll cut you!" She poked him with her plastic knife on her tray, giving him a warning look.

Daxoren rolled his eyes and she poked him again warningly. She then turned back to me with a kind smile and put her knife down.

"Go on kensana," she nodded.

I furrowed my eyebrows.

What the hell does that mean?

I shook my head and put on a slightly fake smile,"Um, anyway. It's free for anyone and available to anyone."

Assandria smiled, her markings on her face slightly glowing a yellow color,"That sounds nice. When is it?"

I couldn't help but smile back, for real this time," It starts at 3 and you can leave whenever you want."

She nodded and looked towards Analies,"We should go. We don't have to be back to the sector until 4:45. It'll give us some time to spend more time out after being caged for so long."

Analies nodded and gave me a shy smile. The guy next to her wrapped his arms around her shoulder and looked at me,"Sorry, she's pretty shy."

I looked at his name tag. Lorax.

I gave a small nod,"it's okay."

I gave them two flyers and waved goodbye, getting either a wave back, a smile or a glare.

Okay and there is chapter two, I wanted to make this one longer but I decided to put the most exciting part in the next one :) I still hope you enjoyed it!!
