This story is about a young girl Alex and her older brother Zach who don't believe in fairy tales. Their mother and father got divorced when they were very young, so they live with their mother now. Their mother always read them fairy tales before they went to bed, and Alex and Zach didn't believe in them one bit.
But when they find their mother dead in the morning, having been murdered, Alexa and Zach just can't let this mystery go unsolved. When they go on a quest to find out who murdered their mother, they find out things about her that they never knew before, that really opens their eyes.
