I pulled back from the kiss and my eyes widened as I looked back at the door
"B-b-boss..." He had his arms crossed and shook his head. Mike was standing behind him and I frowned towards him and he sighed and walked forwards towards me.
"Y/n I'm sorry, he's the boss I h-" The boss then looked at me and spoke
"Mike there's nothing to apologise for, Y/n's in no trouble" I looked at the boss confused and Mike had the same expression
"She's not?" The boss chuckled then laughed
"Of course not!" He laughed and both me and Mike let out awkward laughs and Mari just fell silent "Why would she be in trouble?" Mike looked at him
"Well no offence to Y/n boss, but dating an animatronic is a bit...weird"
"So? Your telling me to punish her because its weird?" Mike shook his head but looked very confused
"No not at all boss, its just that, you usually get angered very easily, and since Y/n is your employee and the Marionette belongs to you, so I thought it would anger you..." He looked down and the boss placed a hand on his shoulder
"I'm not angered, and I'm sorry I make you feel like that" Mike looked up and smiled
"Its fine boss" The boss chuckled then moved his hand
"Besides this just means that we don't have to worry about the Marionette anymore" Mike nodded
"That's true" Mari wrapped his arm around my waist and I blushed slightly.
"But" I looked back at the boss "This doesn't mean that I accept your relationship. I cant stop you too from being together, and what the two of you tend to do, but whilst at work I would prefer this kind of thing didn't happen" He looked at Mari and he moved his arm and sighed.
"Boss that's harsh" The boss looked at Mike and Mike looked back at him
"How is it harsh?"
"Well when will they get to be together?"
"Not at work" He then walked out and Mike sighed
"I'm really sorry guys" I went over to him and hugged him
"Its okay Mike" He hugged back but let go quickly and looked down. I looked at Mari and he was glaring at Mike
"Mari its okay" He sighed and sat down and Mike smiled slightly at me and then left. I sat with Mari and hugged him and he held me close
"What should we do now Y/n?" I sighed
"I don't know.." He held me closer
"That damn Mike shouldn't have gotten involved..." I looked up at him and his eyes were glowing slightly and I looked down
"He didn't do it to be horrible Mari" He looked at me
"Then why did he do it? Its not like he had to, he made the choice" I sighed and stood up then walked over to the computers and fell silent.
Marionette p.o.v
I stayed sat down on the ground and watched Y/n work. Occasionally I stood and opened and closed the doors to help her out, but I mostly just watched her. I still felt angered. It was none of Mikes business about what happened between me and Y/n. I then wondered to myself about how he knew about us.
"Y/n" She looked at me
"Yes?"
"How does Mike know about us? Did you tell him" She shook her head and looked back at the cameras
"No, he rewound the tapes or something like that, and saw the footage" I sighed
"Great.." Y/n fell silent again and I looked at her and her eyes suddenly widened and I stood and went to her side "Y/n what's wrong?"
"I just remembered, he said that he saw the footage of Vincent's death..." I looked at her, a shocked expression
"You don't think he told the boss.." She closed her eyes
"I don't know, but if he did I could be in serious trouble" I growled and punched a wall
"Fucking god dammit!"
Readers p.o.v
I watched the cameras but started to trembled and a few tears rolled from my eyes. I closed my eyes and wiped them with my sleeve but felt a hand hold mine and I opened my eyes
"Y/n please don't cry.." I started to cry more and he wrapped his arms around me
"I thought this job would be so easy.." He stroked my hair and held me close
"I know..." I held onto him
"But its so hard, I'm so frightened"
"I promise Y/n, I wont let anything hurt you" I looked up at him
"But what about you?"
"What about me?"
"I don't want you to get hurt" I smiled gently and kissed her cheek
"I'm strong, I wont get hurt"
"But.." I stroked her cheek gently
"I will protect myself, to keep us safe" She smiled slightly and she stopped crying
"Okay, good" I smiled and wiped her cheeks then kissed her
"I love you Y/n" She smiled
"I love you too"
