Taylor's POV
Saturday Morning
All it took for me to get over seeing Harvey, was an hour of listening to some songs from Views by Drake and also Beyoncé albums whilst packing the boxes for America. I was having a great dream, I had a boyfriend and I was older. I had finished school and was driving in a white Range Rover with Jet, who was also older.Suddenly I woke up because I heard Jet barking from downstairs and my dad saying "Oh, it's you. Why are you here?" Who would be visiting me? I hope it's not who I'm guessing it is. "Hey Tay." I hear as my door swings open. Sh*t. "What are you doing in my house, Harvey?" I said tiredly. "Your dad let me in and I used to come here all the time so don't make it uncomfortable for me." He answered.
"Please get out of my room, I need my own space and I also need some sleep. Get out now." I told Harvey firmly. "Taylor, I came to do something that I should've done a long time ago." He said and I suddenly got nervous. Don't do something weird, oh my god what is he doing. He began to kneel down and I shuffled back cautiously. "Harvey, what are you doing?" I asked nervously. "Calm down, Tay. It's not like I'm proposing to you, you're only 17 and I'm 19." He answered. "Although, I do plan to marry you in the near future." He added with a smirk.
"So why are you on your knees, Harvey?" I questioned. "I'm begging you to take me back as your boyfriend and I'm also begging you to let me explain." He answered with hope filing his eyes. "You have 10 minutes, use it wisely." I said in a monotone voice.
"The day you saw me at the mall, I was with my cousin. Her name is Ellie. I was going to introduce you to her the next day but she only had arrived the night before. She wanted to hang out with me before seeing you because she wanted to know more about you before you two met." Harvey stopped and looked up at me with a hopeful smile. I nodded for him to go on.
"I hope you believe me because I love you so much. I don't want you to go to America but if you have to then I understand that I have to let you go." Harvey sighed and I interrupted him, and said. "I know that you love me and I know that you are sorry. It was wrong of me to accuse you of cheating even though it seemed like that at the time. I'm sorry that I upset you and I do want to forgive you. I will forgive you but I have to move to America." I paused taking a deep breath.
"It's not because I hate you, it's because my dad really has no choice. His boss basically ordered him to move because if we don't, he will be fired." I said and suddenly felt my eyes watering slightly. Harvey grabbed my hand gently with one hand and moved his free hand up to my face, stroking it gently with his scarred thumb. "Do you want to talk about it?" He asked me. Did I want to answer his question? I have been keeping my emotions in control so well lately, I didn't want him to make me lose the control I've come to enjoy.
Instead of answering, I wrapped my hands around Harvey's head and pulled him closer to me, brushing my lips a little bit harshly against his soft, plump lips. I can't say that I haven't missed him and the way we used to be. I felt him push his lips harder against mine and then assessed the situation. I couldn't lead him on, not when I'm leaving in two days.
I ended the kiss and looked to the ground. "I'm sorry that I did that." I said, hoping that my voice wouldn't crack. I stood up, still looking at the ground . "Don't apologise for that." Harvey said and also stood up. Keep in control Tay. You can do it. I encouraged myself and then looked Harvey directly in the eye and said "Goodbye, Harvey. I'll miss you a lot and I guess I'll try to keep in touch with you."
With that said I pushed him out of my room, but he didn't resist. He just had a shocked look on his face and I felt so bad for pushing him away like this. I slammed the door although not as gently as I should have and stood against the door whilst tears slipped down my flushed cheeks. "Are you done here, Harvey?" I heard my father ask. I tried to listen closer to hear Harvey's reply, but none came. Instead of a hearing him answer, I heard heavy footsteps going down the stairs.
I felt the door being nudged so I opened it up and saw my dad giving me a concerned stare. His eyes took in my flushed and tear-streaked face and pulled me into a harsh but gentle embrace. "I understand what you are going through, Taylor. I know you love him but sometimes we have to let go and move on, for our benefit." My dad was trying to comfort me, but I couldn't be surrounded by human company right now. I pushed my hands against my dad's chest and asked him in a gentle voice to get out of my room.
"Jet, come here boy." I commanded in a soft voice. He bolted into my room and stumbled a bit before attempting to jump onto my messy bed. "You clumsy boy." I swooned and picked him up, cuddling him like a baby. Why did I have to get the feels two days before I leave? Sometimes I wish I could split my soul into to pieces and change into another person so I could stay here and get back with Harvey.
If only it was possible.
If only things were different.
Sorry for the wait.
We hope you liked this chapter,
