I work up a little bit earlier to make breakfast for me and daddy I made biscuits and gravy with sausage.

I was dancing when I felt someone pick me up

"ahh daddy put me down" I said laughing he put me down

"smells good how'd you learn to cook" he asked

"I took a cooking class at the community center not to far from the orphanage" I said so I handed him a plate and then we sat down and ate

"well what do you think" I asked

"baby girl you are very talented you can sing amazing like your old man and your a great cook" he said I smiled and finished eating and then I got ready for the meeting I wore a pair of skinny jeans and a blue flowy tank top and my boots.

When we got to the record company we met up with Glenn

"Sierra nice to meet you are you ready" he asked me

"I think so" I said smiling so I got my guitar and went into the recording studio.

"so Sierra what will you singing for us today" he asked

"this is a song I wrote called just a dream, hope you like it, it was two weeks after the day she tuned eighteen all dressed in white going to the church that night she had his box of letters in the passenger seat six pins and a shoe something borrowed something blue and when the church doors opened up wide she put her vail down trying to hide the tears oh she just couldn't believe it she heard the trumpets from the military band and the flowers fell out of her hands

Baby why'd you leave me why'd you have to go I was counting on forever now I'll never know I can't even breathe it's like I'm looking from a distance standing in the background everybodys saying he's not coming home now this can't be happening to me this is just a dream

The preacher man said let us bow our heads and pray lord please lift his soul and heal this hurt and then the congregation all stood up and sang the saddest song that she ever heard, then they handed her a folded up flag and she held on to all she has left of him on what could have been she heard the guns rang one last shot and it felt like a pulling in her heart

Baby why'd you leave me why'd you have to go I was counting on forever now I'll never know I can't even breathe it's like I'm looking from a distance standing in the background everybodys saying he's not coming home now this can't be happening to me this is just a dream
