"{F/N}, I'm sure your parents will like me." Daichi said, looking at {F/N} as she nervously fiddled with the rims of her dress.

"That's not what I'm worried about..." She replied, mumbling her words with a bit of a frown on her face.

"Then what are you worried about?"

"Whether you will like my parents..."

She heaved a quick sigh as her fingers intertwined with Daichi's, leaving the boy's apartment and starting their walk towards the restaurant they'd be meeting her parents in.

"Why wouldn't I like them? They're related to you."

"Then you don't know my parents... Trust me, they're stars in embarrassing me."

Their feet tapped the asphalt simultaneously as they got closer and closer to the restaurant they'd be dining in, their hands swinging back and forth slightly.

The two of them stopped in front of the big glass doors and Daichi spoke the last few encouraging words to his girlfriend, pecking her cheek before grabbing her hand once more.

{F/N}'s parents were already inside and inspected the two through the closed door, smiling softly as they watched their daughter become flustered.

"Ah, so this is the famed boyfriend?" {Mother} asked {Father}, to which the male nodded.

"He's supposedly a captain of a volleyball team. A great way for {F/N} to learn some responsibility, don't you think?"

"But {F/N} is very responsible already, right?"

The two parents continued to bicker back and forth until a cough from their daughter interrupted them. {F/N}'s arm was hooked around Daichi's and she awkwardly stood there, hoping they wouldn't embarrass her straight away.

"Ah, so you're the Daichi {F/N} always speaks about!" {Father} said, extending his hand.

Daichi smiled politely in return and shook his hand, nodding his head a little in the process. "It's a pleasure to meet you. Should we head to our table? We're nearing the reservation time..."

The boy nervously scratched the back of his neck with his free hand and felt how tense his girlfriend was, to which he started to stroke her hand with his thumb.

"Sounds like a lovely idea," {Mother} said, "Lead the way!"

Daichi pulled {F/N} forwards and eyed her multiple times, watching her as she flinched when making eye contact.

"You're gonna be fine," He whispered to her, "Don't worry about it."

"But-"

"Up-up-up, you're fine. We're fine. You're gonna be okay."

He guided her to a table and pulled her chair back, waiting for her to sit down before seating himself next to her.

{F/N}'s parents were definitely impressed by how he treated her and kept it in the back of their minds, seating themselves across from the two of them and getting a conversation going.

"So, where did you and {F/N} meet?" {Father} asked, playing with the menu as he awaited his answer.

"Ah, {F/N} and I met at a café, actually. She was entertaining the people on stage, and doing a really good job at it as well."

{F/N} blushed at Daichi's kind words and mumbled a few things as she fiddled her thumbs, hearing a chuckle leaving her mother's lips.

Oh no.

Whenever she chuckled, something bad was going to happen.

"I remember the last time {F/N} entertained us... She was dancing on her desk and singing loudly, misstepping and falling off of it when she realized we were in her room!"

The girl in question's face turned an even darker shade of red as she swore she told her parents not to tell anyone, to which they just flat out spilled the beans.

"Remember that time when there was a tiny spider on her hand and she sent her phone across the room?"

"Or when she was little and continuously fell into the toilet pot because she couldn't keep her balance?"

"Or that one time we caught her making a presentation about-"

{F/N} slammed her hands on the desk with the reddest face possible and unintentionally was gifted with the attention of everyone around her, before she nervously shook in place and parted her lips. "D-Don't you think that's enough?!"

Daichi noticed how badly she shook and grabbed her hand, pulling her down slowly and stroking her palm with his thumb again.

She just hated being embarrassed, especially when it was around her boyfriend. She just wanted a normal night, not one that sent all her blood flowing to her cheeks.

"I need to go to the bathroom..." She muttered, getting up and leaving Daichi alone with her parents. Daichi tried to stop her, but she was already gone before he had the chance.

"I was hoping she would've learned by now..." {Mother} whispered, a guilty look on her face as she eyed the boyfriend.

"I'm afraid I don't quite follow. Learned what?" He asked, curious to see where this was going.

"To learn not to care about what others think of you. We've been trying to teach her ever since she wanted to entertain people, but she just doesn't get there. Although..."

The mother eyed her husband and then smiled at Daichi, "I think that with your help, she might just learn how to trust a little more and let herself go."

The boy blinked exaggeratedly, trying to let the words sink in. She was pretty much open around him; was it possible to be even more of an open book?

"{F/N}'s had many boyfriends, but none of them were like you. I can already tell she really likes you." {Mother} noted, before {Father} stepped in.

"Just make sure not to hurt our little princess, okay?"

Daichi nodded as rapidly and determinedly as possible, cracking a little smile before getting lost in his thoughts. With his help...

Ehhh, yeah. Not really anything to say about this one besides, "I'm really tired and it's like 1 AM right now. Sleep? Ha, what's that? Can you eat it? How do you spell it?"
