Finally told

14 1 2

I have finally told,

My pain that is so old

I told the one person who can help.

I told him about,

The pain,

The fears,

The tears.

I haven't told much anyone else,

But finally I am happy.

I finally get a chance to be me,

I will soon,

Move states,

Switch schools,

Live with my father,

Get away from my mother.

Get away from the,

Pain,

Putdowns,

Prying eyes.

The night I finally told,

I felt as if a weight was lifted,

Off me,

I started to cry,

Not knowing why.

This last week,

She's tried,

To make my life hell

To make me feel guilty.

Yet all this effort has been,

In vain.

Because for once I am

Happy to be alive

Happy to be me

Happy to be my fathers daughter.
