Chapter 11: My first date?

The next day at school (yes i went to school even though my stomach was still bruised) i was met by Trent at my locker.

"What are you doing here?" i whispered to him, "This is the girl's locker room-if a teacher sees you-"

"Shhhh. They won't. Don't worry," he smirked. "Always trying to be the 'goody-two-shoes' Victoria." He gazed at me with his bright blue eyes.

I blushed.

"Are you feeling better since yesterday?" he asked.

"Uh yeah sort of. My stomach still hurts though."

His face turned serious, "I am so, so sorry about Dani. She's such a-"

"It's okay," i said cutting him off.

"No it's not okay Victoria. She had no right to-"

"Seriously Trent. Let's just forget about it, okay?"

He sighed breathing out, "If you say so."

I grabbed my books and began walking to home class. Trent walked with me. I ignored the bitchy looks from girls headed in my direction and decided to look down instead.

Trent put his left hand in his pocket and rubbed the back of his neck with his right. "Are, you..." he trailed off.

"..Am I what?" i asked.

"Are you uhm, doing anything this weekend?" he asked.

I thought about it for a minute, "Uhmmm, no. I don't think so. Why?"

"I was uhm wondering if you wanted to go see a movie with me?"

I blinked a few times trying to process what he had just asked me. He-TRENT wanted to see a movie with ME. I didn't know what to say. No guy had ever asked me to go and see a movie with them before. Ever. This was a first. I had always imagined being asked on my first date by a...slightly more 'nerdier' guy. But now, Trent, a poular guy was asking me out.

Consumed in my thoughts, i didn't notice Trent had begun to talk again.

"...don't want to go then that's fine."

"Wait what?"

"If you-" began Trent repeating himself.

"No. I mean yes. I would love to go," i beamed.

Trent smiled. "Great. Uhm can i get your number so i can give you the details?"

"Sure," i got out my phone and he did the same, then i gave him my number.

"Thanks."

"That's okay," i smiled.

"Well, i better get going. See you later Victoria."

"See ya, Trent."

Trent began walking away and i continued to my home class. I couldn't keep the smile off of my face the entire day. I was so happy and, slightly nervous but excited.

"What are you so 'smiley' about?" asked Ali as we went into english.

I waited until we sat down and the other popular girls sat down in the back row before replying. "Trent asked me out."

"What?! Oh my gosh thats so-"

"Shhhh!!"

The teacher looked at us before turning around and writing on the board.

"Oh right, no one else knows yet?" asked Ali.

"No."

"Oh. But anyways, so you're like going out officially?"

"Oh no, i don't mean 'going out' going out. I mean he asked me out to the movies on the weekend."

Ali smirked, "Are you kidding me? I thought you meant-"

"Yeah, no."

"Awhh. Anyway though!"

"I know!" i smiled.

"That's so cute," smiled Ali. "So, what are you gonna wear?"

"Oh My Gosh." I had no idea. I hadn't even thought about that part! And how i would do my hair! And what shoes to wear!

"Are you okay Vickie? It looked like you just had  a mini heart attack...."

"Ali what am i gonna do?!"

Ali laughed and i frowned at her disapprovingly.

"Look, don't worry. Just message me some pictures and i'll help you choose," said Ali.

I breathed out slowly, "...okay."

"GIRLS STOP TALKING." the teacher had turned around again.

"Sorry miss..." said Ali beginning to write.

I sighed and begun writing too.

That afternoon as i walked out of school. I couldn't wait to tell my mum the news. Okay, I know. Why the hell would you be excited to tell your mum about your social/love life?? Well, my mum is like my best friend. She talks to me about everything and i talk to her about everything. I am her only daughter after all. And my mum isn't strict or always forcing rules upon me. She let's me do what i want most of the time but i don't take advantage of that. I still respect her. She is my mother.

"Victoria!" Someone called out my name.

I turned around. It was Jonathan.

He caught up to me. "Hey," he smiled.

"Hey," I smiled back politely.

"Sorry i didn't get a chance to talk to you today. Are you feeling better?"

"Yeah, Yeah i'm fine. My stomach is still kinda bruised but other than that i'm fine."

"That's good."

"Yeah," i smiled.

A breeze swept cooly over us as neither of us said anything more.

"Well, ah, I'd better go. Don't want to miss my bus," said Jonathan.

"Yeah me too. I think my mum's here."

"Cool."

"Seeya Jonathan."

"Seeya," he smiled and began walking over to his bus.

Did he just blush? I could have sworn he did. I just didn't understand why he was so..shy around me yet this loud, outgoing guy with almost every other girl. His smile was so sweet and his brown eyes so..cute. Every time i saw Jonathan, a feeling of..something...rushed through me. I was attracted to Jonathan. But if he really was attracted to me too he would have asked me out? Right? But he hadn't. And Trent had. I didn't feel it was right to keep hoping something would happen between me and Jonathan when it probably wouldn't.  Right now, i should just focus on Trent. Try and eliminate any feelings for Jonathan. But it was just so damn hard.

I got to the car and got in.

"How was your day today?" smiled mum.

I decided to forget about Jonathan and just focus on Trent. "It was great! And you'll never guess what happened...."

I told my mum all about Trent and she was excited for me too.

"It's about time you got a boyfriend Victoria."

I laughed, "Mum! We're not even going out yet."

"I'm sure you will soon," she winked.

I shook my head smiling and thought about the weekend ahead of me.

Only problem now? What to wear.....
