"Ohayōgozaimasu" my mom said making me arise from my rest, my mother talks very little English but I talk for her most of the time.
"Good morning" I said back Ohayōgozaimasu means good morning in Japanese.
I got up off my dusty mattress
And found some clothes on my desk.
It was hard living for me... My mother and I live on a farm, just us two.
My Father left when I was 3 taking custody of my younger sibling Yoko.
We were happy until that happened now I work on the farm, I'd do anything to help my Mother she truly means the world to me.

Mother and I sat down on the kitchen floor to eat out rice and bread like we usually do, every morning, then we'd set out on the farm to work.
My Mother would check the mail box as always but still nothing but bills...
"Kyūkei Emiko o torimasu" my Mother said, which means 'take a break Emiko"'
"Yes Mother" I said I wondered over to the house when I saw a letter on the floor.
"Ma ma!" I called signalling her over
"Hai, Emiko?" (Which means Yes Emiko?)
"There's a letter here for you." I spoke
"Let me see" she said retrieving the envelope from me.
She opened it and read the letter that brought tears to her eyes.

Cliffhanger
What'd you guys think?
I know it's pretty bad but in the next chapter when the mother speaks Japanese  I'll put the translation in brackets so
"Arigatōgozaimashita" (thank you)

Love you guys
