Shoreline [Part 1]

Do you recall

Our heavy foot steps on the sand

As we walked along the shoreline of that beach

Sinking in between our toes

Losing balance once in a while

We're clumsy as always

Swaying side by side with the waves

The crashing waters on sunken boulders

Meeting their corroding and eroding fate

Skies rumble and storm clouds gathered

But we continued our long strides

Thunder and lightning didn't scare us

We persisted against harsh winds

Shouted high into the sky

We weren't afraid

At least, not of nature's obstacles working against us

Tides slowed down and so did our pace

Boats awaited for each one of us to board

One by one we set sailed alone

Pushing off the shore we once knew so well

The place we buried our secrets and treasures

We promised we'd come back

Maybe in a month or a year or a few days

We'll find a way
