Amidst all the Sorrow

Chapter 3

"Me and Dad are doing good here"

I walked out the lobby and leave the building.

"Oh! And dad bought some sweets yesterday"

I looked both ways and crossed the street, then continued forward.

"We'll be back in 2 more days, Mom" I chuckled.

"Alright, see you. Take care, bye" I ended the call and walked a few more steps. I stopped at the familiar building and went inside.

It was the bookstore, near the building we lived in

Need new books..

I scanned through the first floor and I picked out one book that looked interesting.

I reached the second floor seeing fanatsy and adventure books, and picked out the second book of the 3 part series, I was reading.

I passed the 3rd floor which was full of business and home books, and went to the final floor.

The Manga and Comics floor.

I immediately went to the manga shelf and scanned through the names, looking for two particularly named volumes.

My eyes widened, "Ah, found i-" I reached for the book and someone was too.

"Ah" We said at the same time looking at each other. I blinked for a few seconds and came back to my senses

"Were.. were you looking for this volume too?" I asked him, "Ah? Oh! Yeah, I just finished the last volume" He said.

"Me too!" I exclaimed, "So I thought, I'd buy the new one" We said in unison.

"Eh?" We looked again at each other and laughed.

"Wow.. its been a while since I've seen people here in this floor for the manga" I said, "Same here" He said.

"Everyone mostly goes for the comics" He added, I nodded.

"What have you been reading?" He asked. "Me? Oh! Well.. of course this one and these 2" I grabbed two other mangas from the shelf.

"Eh? I haven't read this one yet, I've been wanting to though" He said, taking a look at the manga I was holding on my left hand.

"You should read it, the story at first is boring but all in all its great!" I said, grinning.

"Sure, I will!" He said, "Oh hey, what did you think of the recent chapter of the one we're getting?" I asked.

"They left the last chapter on a major cliffhanger" He said shaking his head. "Exactly!" I exclaimed.

"But to admit, the last chapter was still cool" I said, "The last line was amazing" He said, "Definitely" I nodded.

"Oi, Kaito! Let's get goi-" I looked behind the person named, Kaito and saw two people.

"Kanagawa-kun?" I blinked.

"K-Konoe-san? What are.. you doing here?" He asked, "I was buying books" I answered.

"Ryouta, do you know her?" Kaito asked.
