“Ayana I really don’t want to go to this party. I hate party’s dude.” I whine as she gives me an outfit to wear.

“Live it up a little Sar!” She says pulling on a tight skirt and a bandeau.

I sigh and nod, giving into her peer pressure.

I put on a shirt black skirt and an orange cross cut crop top.

I quickly do my makeup and run a curling iron through my blonde hair.

I put on my skull necklace and switch out my nose rings.

I sit on my bed and put on my orange wedges.

“Oh my god you look so cute!” She squeals looking at my outfit.

I smile and she grabs my hand.

“Let’s go!” She says tugging me downstairs and out the front door.

She drives us to the party and we sit in her car outside for a minute.

“Ready?” She asks.

“I don’t know, Ay. I don’t really like parties and I know you’ll end up separating from me.” I say twirling my thumbs.

“Sar come on! You’re only a senior once! I won’t leave you. Let’s go get wasted and dance and have an amazing time. Please do this.” She says.

I sigh and nod my head.

She smiles and we both exit the car.

We walk inside the big house that’s full of teenagers.

Music blasts and I sigh. I’m only a senior once.

We walk into the kitchen and grab red cups filled with random alcohol.

We down our drinks and grab others.

Not even 10 minutes into the party Ayana gets wasted and leaves me.

I walk out the front door and sit on the curb. I scroll through my phone and drink.

“Hey!” I hear behind me.

I look behind me and see the short Mexican kid from my English class.

“Hey.” I say smiling.

He sits next to me and takes a drink out of his cup.

“What are you doing out here?” He asks.

“Parties aren’t really my thing.” I say glancing back at the house.

“Really? I thought I was the only one. My brother Mike pressured me to come.” He says with a sigh.

“My friend Ayana pressured me to come.” I say laughing.

He laughs and we talk for a while.

“I’m Sarah by the way.” I say smiling.

“I’m Vic.” He says with a smile.

I look down at the gravel and then back at him.

“Do you wanna ditch this?” He asks.

“Sure.” I say smiling.

We walk over to his car and drive off.

“Where to?” He asks.

“Surprise me.” I say smiling.

He nods and we drive off down the street.

We blast music and scream the lyrics as Vic drives down a dark road.

I look over to my right and see an ocean.

I smile and then look at him.

His eyes planted on the road, singing the lyrics of the song.
