REALITY
Stiles dropped Liam and Rhea off at the beta's house, where the boy lead his girlfriend to his room.
Liam flopped onto his bed, turning to face a giggling Rhea, who stood in the doorway still. "Babygirl!" he exclaimed, holding his arms out.
Her cheeks flushed pink and she walked towards him, taking his hands in her own. Quickly, her boyfriend pulled her to lay next to him on the bed.
Liam shifted to sit up, leaning against his headboard, and pulled his girlfriend's head into his lap, running his fingers through her hair. "I love your hair," he whispered. "It's so soft."
Rhea shut her eyes and got comfortable. She could feel him wanting to say something else. She knew Liam too well to not feel his anxiety -- his question for her.
"Li, just ask it." she said, not opening her eyes.
He took a deep breath. "Are you okay? Like -- with this whole werewolf thing."
She nodded and he ran his hand through her hair again. "You're still my Liam, and I understand why you and Scott didn't want to say anything. I'm not mad and I never was, but I needed a little space just to take it all in."
Liam just watched her.
"I would never leave you, Li." Rhea opened her eyes and to Liam's surprise, they glittered with tears. "I love you."
He leaned over and kissed her forehead, shutting his eyes to keep the tears in.
He tried to whisper that he loved her, too, but his voice couldn't handle it, and then she was sitting on his lap and they were hugging each other and crying.
