"MUM! we're leaving for school!" i called through our small apartment, grabbing my bag and cosplay naruto headband.
"alright. bye darlings!" my mum began "wait! i need to tell you something, girls!"
we turned on our heel and walked to the kitchen to see my (8 mths) pregnant mum.
"girls... i was waiting to tell you for a long time." mum began somberly, " but you girls are.... adopted. kikyo..... you knew you were because you saw your mum die and your father leave in those dreams of yours. and oreo your parents abandoned you to me. and also hatori... you and oreo are twins. but you have your mother's eyes, oreo has your father's" she finished.
i looked down, tears brimming my eyes. 'i thought it was just a dream... not a memory' i thought, turning and walked to the school with my head down. i continued until i got there, ignoring the chorus of ''are you alright?' and 'what happened to her?'. i don't see the difference... i always come to school like this, i'm not that different.
"KYO! WHAT'S WRONG?!" screamed only a scream jojo can do. Jojo is one of my best friends, her and kady. i blankly looked at jojo with emotionless eyes, tears still in my eyes.
"hn" was all i said as i turned and walked to class, not hearing or saying another word.
"Kikyo yakamura" the teacher called and i raised my hand. he stared at me with the piercest of glares and i gave him a 'fudge-you-and-go-away' look that made him scared.
'heh' i thought coldly.
*LUNCH*
i sat next to kady and hatori and across from Jojo, ayame and oreo. i opened up my yakisoba ramen and began eating slowly.
"are you alright, girl? you seem sad. like how i was when dorien cheated on me!" ayame, my best guy friend, proclaimed.
" yeah! come to think of it, all of you sisters look sad" kady added staring at oreo, hatori and I. Hatori looked to me, as did oreo, whereas i looked down.
"kyo" Jojo whispered, catching everyone's attention, all except mine. i got up, stared at Jojo with glassy eyes and walked toward the roof, bringing my soba.
*poof* i laziely look over my shoulder to see a puff of fire/smoke coming from where my apartment was.
'Mum!' i thought urgently and alarmed. i then ran to the apartment, holding my breath. oreo and hatori was following me.
When we got there, the whole apartment building was up in flames. next thing i knew, i was being held back by firemen and one firemen had handed oreo, hatori and I something to remember our adoptive mother by. i got her tresured silver guitar, Hatori got her rare red dragon necalace, and oreo got her blue and white heart pendant.
