"Don't worry, they can't hurt you."
Those were Marie Summer's last words. Great. My tutor is dead.
I walk up the slope and peek over the hedge. The fire is as tall as ever. And so are the robots.
The robots were tall, shiny things that Dr.Abernathy created. They were made to decide who was weak and who was strong. It's just my luck that I was chosen to test them.

I watch the robots carefully, the one I decided to call Greg (I was bored) is slowly growing. It's silver face is emotionless as it watches the city being burned. I hear a noise behind me, I turn to find one of the robots staring at me. It must be at least 50 feet tall. I run, screaming, and scramble behind a car, just as it sends a ball of fire shooting from its hand.
"Grab a weapon!" Says a deep voice.
"Huh? Who's there?"
"Are you stupid?!? GET A WEAPON!"
If takes a moment for the face to register.
"GAH!" I yell as I see her. "Sorry, I didn't see you there."
She motions behind herself to a pile of weapons. I cautiously pick a bazooka and a flame-thrower.
"Good choice, now, RUN!!!" The woman shouts.
I follow her instructions.
