Alice looked around as she kept seeing trees and the ground written in blood that said, "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA." Some poor miners were found dead with smiles craved on their faces. There was another message that said, "I'm coming for you Alice." The Cat commented, "You definitely imagined something extreme." Alice turned to him and asked, "How did this happen? Who is after me? What can I do to stop them?" The Cat only replied, "Save your questions for the Caterpillar. Maybe he'll help you to make sense of what happen. Assuming he is still around." Alice frowned at him and then heard laughter echoing the halls. That laugh sounded familiar. It sounded like... Alice? "Hello, valued guest," said the voice. "Do you like what I've done with the place? I know. Everything looks good with blood soaking all over the place. Don't worry. I saved only a large piece just enough to cover it in your blood." Then the voice disappeared. Alice gulped as she shivered. Her own voice speaking like a madwoman. She ran away to find the Caterpillar. Alice stopped with a sigh of relief. Thank goodness that the Caterpillar was at his usual spot. The old insect inhaled his hookah and exhaled out smoke. From the Caterpillar's expression, Alice could tell that he was not pleased. "Alice," said the Caterpillar, furrowing his brow. "How could you let Alixe out?" Alice looked at him with surprise. "Who is Alixe?" asked Alice. "How did I let her out?" The Caterpillar sighed as he explained, "Alixe is your insane side. She has been with you since you first came to Wonderland. Since the fire, she separated from you and tried to take your mind. But Doctor Harleen Quinzel's therapy sessions managed to stop Alixe. Now that she is the Joker's henchwoman, Harley Quinn, and Doctor Johnathan Crane's fear toxin, Alixe now has free reign." Alice thought about this as she remembered that since being incarcerated in Blackgate Prison, she feared of becoming insane. Now Scarecrow upped her fear by 100%. "How do I stop her?" asked Alice. The Caterpillar sighed, "I'm afraid I do not know. Perhaps the Queen will better explain things than I. Remember, a queen must always be served." Alice couldn't help but frown. A queen must always be served, he says, thought Alice. Alice walked off to find the Queen of Hearts. The Cheshire Cat appeared as she walked on by. "Do you feel enlightened? Coming back to your handiwork? The scene of the crime?" Alice only shrugged. "I knew that I was afraid of being insane, but I never knew there was a side of me capable of doing this." The Cat advised, "Now is not the time to feel self pity. Find the Queen. And try not to stir up trouble." Then the Cat disappeared. Alice frowned at the thought of coming to visit the Queen of Hearts. Meeting with her wasn't exactly fun. The Queen herself looked like a large woman, but she actually is a creature with bloodied flesh like tentacles. The last time Alice went to see the Queen, it wasn't delightful. Sighing, Alice went off to see the Queen. Back in Arkham Asylum, Batman found Alice's unconscious body. He checked her pulse and found that Alice was still alive. But how? Most people were under the symptoms of Scarecrow's fear toxin would be suffering from a heart attack. Alice is right now in a catatonic state which was curious, but thankfully still alive. Batman then contacted Oracle. "Oracle, I found Alice," said Batman. "Oh my God! Is she alright?" asked the woman in the radio. "Alice is alright, but she's in a catatonic state after being affected by Scarecrow's fear toxin," replied Batman. He then analyzed her again. "It seems she's trying to fight the toxin's affects in her sleep," added Batman. Oracle thought for a moment and said, "She must be in Wonderland fighting her fear." Batman asked confusingly, "Wonderland?" Oracle explained, "To her, Wonderland is her dreams' domain. To her, it exists in her mind. Alice told me about Wonderland. Ya know, I wonder why the Mad Hatter hasn't kidnapped her yet. You know what? Scratch that." Batman nodded and took the sleeping Alice to the Batcave within Arkham Island. Batman laid Alice comfortably on a chair as he began complying Dr. Penelope Young's notes on a upgraded iteration of Bane's usual Venom called Titan. Apparently she was taking funds from a "Mr. White." Mr. White was one of the Joker's many aliases. Then Batman realized something. If the Joker willingly allowed himself to be captured and escorted to the asylum, then the main reason why he is here because he wants to raise an army of a thousand Banes! Batman thought to himself. There must be an antitoxin that could reverse the effects of Titan. But where? Batman remembered Poison Ivy mentioning about her plants suffering. If her plants really are in pain, then Poison Ivy may be able to cooperate.
