20. Marble-headed Leech

[GILBERT HOUSE]

Castiel had been standing across the room where Stefan was waiting impatiently for the Bennet witch to arrive. He stood there invisible to anyone's sight,calmly watching over the girl whom strapped to the leather chair. He could've just popped into the scene and snatched her away but he really couldn't intervene. He just felt it's not the right time for him to come into her life. Not yet.

Then he saw a girl with caramel skin entered the room.

"Bonnie,you're here." The vampire in the room had greeted. "I know how this looks but I need you to set a protection spell."

Castiel took a step closer. His eyes were sharp as eagle's and staring at the witch and then to the girl on the chair. He can't let the witch do anything involving magic to Arabella. That would be catastrophe but of course,he can't conjure there so he had to subtle.

The witch and the vampire had chatted a few other things,which he completely ignored it. When the witch finally ready to perform the protection spell,she made a salt ring around the girl and placed a few candles before her.

When the witch summoned fire to light up the candle as for preparation to do magic,Castiel had quaintly breezed in some wind and knocked down the candles as a mere warning to stop.

Suddenly,Castiel,whom now stood invisibly by Arabella look up only to find a man wearing a grey suit standing in the room,probably invisible to others' sights, staring at him. He knew it instantly. The man is also a vessel occupied by an angel. The other angel probably sensed Arabella's presence when the witch lightened the candle with magic. The angel had smirked as he laid his eyes to the girl strapped to the chair.

Castiel sucked in a deep breath and in swift move pressed his right palm on Arabella's chest lightly,which made the girl regain her consciousness with a jolt. He then stood upright,exchanged looks with the grey suited angel before they both perished in the air.

For fuck's sake,my head is spinning like a spinning top and my chest stung. I blinked a few times as I regained my conciousness. I lifted my face only to see Bonnie,kneeling before me with a few fallen candles and a broken salt ring around me.

Wait.

Is she doing a spell? Is she hexing me?

What the fuck!

Bonnie wore this perplexed looks in her face. She just stared at me with a blank,dazed look in her eyes. I looked to another person in the room. That blasted vampire. My forehead was throbbing and I knew it was because of him banging my head to the goddamn door.

"Bonnie,what are you doing? Stop." I commanded as a last resort but Bonnie ignored it and reached for the candles again,trying to stand them up.

"Incendia," she had whispered as she took a quick apologetic glance to me and I did something very unpredictable. I used my legs to kick her in the stomach which made her fell backwards.

I knew 'Incendia' is an incantation to summon fire and I happened to know that fire one of the elements that can be used in witchcraft. She's definitely trying to do a spell on me. Knowing her,probably a hex or something.

"Hex? Really,Bennet!? You want to hex me!? Take this thing off me now!" I cried as I struggled to free myself from the rope.

Stefan went to me and gave me a slap across my face to silence me down. The struggle immediately stopped and almost instantly I tasted blood in my mouth. I looked up and glared at the vampire.

This mother fudging vampire is so in deep shit as soon I have Darren to get him. I swear!

Then I saw Elena making her entrance and she went to Bonnie whom coiling on the floor while hugging her stomach. Afterall,that defense class with the twins are worth it.

I stared at Elena with a smirk. "You know how massively screwed up you guys are now? I am never going to leave you people in peace after this. I'll pay you back for this." I had said calmly as I had slowly plotted my revenge as soon as I have both Kerchninovs here. Hell,I would even dragged Kol in if he's that infatuated with me.

Stefan then helped Bonnie up and shooed both girls outside and bolted the door. I took a deep breath,just waiting for his next moves. He took more ropes and strapped my legs too.

"I know for a fact that you're not after money in kidnapping,you marble-headed leech. You thought that by taking me,Klaus would popped himself here and heal your brother? Who the hell give you the idea that those people would do such thing for me? I'm nothing but a stranger to them." I stated calmly.

Stefan chuckled as he set up a tablet,facing me on the table before me. "Save it,Arabella. I knew Klaus even before you are born. And I knew the Mikaelsons for quite a time now. They wouldn't bother to get involved with someone as common as you,as human as you if you doesn't meant something to them."

"Excuse you,leech. I'm the bloody heiress of multibillionaire Harllexton family. Of course I meant something. Human,yes but I'm not common,damn it."

Stefan just looked at me with his cold eyes,obviously not amused . "I want to ask you once again. Are you willing to help me? Only to get Klaus to give the cure to Damon. That's all I ask,Arabella. A help."

I licked my lips and answered, "Which part of 'I'm-no-one-to-Klaus' you didn't understand? Klaus won't listen to this bullcrap because I'm no one to them and if even if I do,after all this stupid moves you'd made,I won't."

Stefan nodded and tapped the tablet. He's making a video call,wait,it's a video conference since there are multiples columns at the bottom of the screen.

"Don't say I didn't asked you nicely." I swore Stefan's tone changed. His voice sounded very menacing and lingers in the air. And something inside me whispered dangers.

The tablet chimed and I saw the little columns now filled with the surprised faces of the Mikaelsons.
