Eugene was a very lonely pickle. Nobody loved Eugene. Nobody. Day to day, he sat in his pickle tree with no pickle friends and just stared at the pickle leaves.

Eugene hated being a pickle, especially when people called him a gherkin. Eugene was not a gherkin. Eugene often sat thinking about how amazing it would be to become more than a pickle; a pickle with a face! Sadly, this could not be, simply because Eugene couldn't be bothered. Eugene began to believe that all he would ever be was a lonely pickle whose only purpose was to be put into a jar.

One day, however, this was proven wrong by a certain stranger who spun around Eugene's life, forever.
