Forever and always...

Welp here we are... another adventure that Mark has planned for us. I sat in the passenger seat of his car watching the buildings pass by. I don't know where we were going once again but it's the journey not the destination. I just have to keep reminding myself that. I took a deep breath as I laid my head back and closed my eyes. Mark held my hand on the way.

I could feel the car slow down into a stop. I opened my eyes as the sun shone in my eyes. I blinked a few times until my vision became clear, in front of me revealed the school.

"Mark why are we at a school? It's the weekend I want to get away from the school not into it." I said

He chuckled and swung a backpack onto his back and grabbed my hand and intertwined his fingers with mine.

"You know the routine, just wait and see." He said smiling

We walked around to the back of the school into the courtyard and sat under our special tree. He took his backpack off and unzipped it. He dug around for a few seconds and pulled out two locks. Attached to each of the locks hung a small piece of paper. He handed one of the locks to me.

"Here. I want to write notes to each other for the future so that when we come back here in a few years the locks will be here and we can read the notes that we wrote to each other." Mark said.

I smiled and took the lock from him. I thought for a while but it took me a while what I was going to write. I want it to be just right. I began to write whatever was on my mind.

Mark,

It seems like just yesterday when we first met and you were always somehow there for me even if I wasn't the same for you. Before I met you I was the person who couldn't trust, couldn't love, and could only understand books. From that day you took my hand and took me away from the JYP center, my life changed forever. I didn't know what to expect but from that day on I knew that you were the one. Thank you for taking me on adventures that were unimaginable. Thank you for taking me on this journey of "my life," I hope that in the future I can take you on your own adventure and create the journey of "our life."

I put the piece of paper in the protective sleeve and attached it back to the lock. I couldn't help but wonder what Mark was writing, he was taking even longer than me. I waited patiently as he finished writing whatever he was writing.

As he finished I asked "So what are we going to do with the locks?"

He took my hand and and we locked the locks on one of the branches of our special tree.

He smiled "I wanted something to remember our spot where we spent most of our time together and then when we look back the locks will be here."

I blushed and gave him a big hug. I was speechless and I felt like it would be something I will always cherish.

Mark's POV

I wasn't exactly sure what I was going to write but I knew that it had to be something that I can look back on and remember this day.

There are not enough words to describe the way you make me feel, when you're with me I feel amazing, excited, happy, nervous, and loved. From that day we became best friends I knew you were unlike any other. You surrounded me with unconditional acceptance, support, and love. With the challenges we faced to step up and achieve beyond our own expectations, I was able to take you on adventures out of this world.I hope to continue to take you on this adventure of a life time. I will promise to be with you every step of the way.
