The ogre lifted the hedgehog up and pulled him into his chest for a ogre hug. The hedgehog resisted at first, but slowing succumbed to the tender hugs of Shrek.

The hug was warm and loving, it lasted what seemed forever when in actual reality neither knew when to stop. After the two stopped hugging they went into the living room and sat down, they both sat on opposite ends of the room.

Shrek looked at the hedgehog with a dreamy stare, "What is your name then wee fella?" Shrek asked. "Sh..sh.shadow" Shadow said. That's an unusual name Shrek thought. There was a pause of silence... Shrek stood up, and asked shadow "do ya want a drink?"... "... Yes please, whatever you have"... Shrek left the room. With shadow left in the room, he decided to look around. Firstly looking at the bookshelf. A large proportion of the books were mangas of the best anime ever, Cory in the house.

A rumble was heard in the kitchen, followed by a crash. Shadow jolted at the loud noise, and ran back to his seat, expecting Shrek to be in any second... But he wasn't... Silence... Shadow decided to check out what was happening, he stood up and walked over to the kitchen archway, he slowly poked his head in to find... The kitchen had been ransacked! Shrek was nowhere to be seen, there were cups and bowls and onions everywhere! The back door was smashed and a trail of footsteps leading out of the swamp were there. // so the chapter ends here, what has happened to Shrek? What will shadow do?
