Nine Months Later

halucinations

I woke one afternoon after my third night at the motel . The knock on my door kinda disturbed my sleep.

I got up from bed and my feet touched the cold wooden floor.

I opened there door and there he was...wait...what!?

"mark!?" i yelled

"i missed you baby" he said

I took him into a big hug and wow...it feels good to be in his arms again

"chimmie" a more feminine voice said

I got out of marks embrace and i looked deep into those...brown eyes?

"Maddie?" i asked

"um...yeah?...who the hell is mark. Chimmie im worried now, this is the third time in three days that youve done this" she said

"its no one..please dont worry about it" i said

"okay then...so how's the baby doing" she asked tapping my tummy

"wait..you know?!" i yelled

"yeah...was it meant to be a secret?" she laughed

"well...no but i didn't think you'd notice" i said honestly

"anyone with eyes can see that. And you need a more loose fitting top. Thats if you dont want people to notice" she said

"yeah thanks" i said

"so...how old are you?" she asked

"i was afraid you'd ask...im 17" i said

"what about you?"

"well...im 21" she said

"and arent you alittle young to be pregnant?"

"well yes but it was an accident"

"well its brave of you not to abort" she said sounding a bit rude

"well its against my religion. And why'd you say it like that? What happened to you?" i asked curiously

"well" she started as she sat on my bed. " i was 19 and my boyfriend Axel were in love. We did everything together. Then i got pregnant and i was pretty excited about it. But then just 2 weeks into my pregnancy Axel's parents died in a fire. He started to drink and he got abusive. He left one night and he told me he was going to get cigarettes but then he never came back. A month into my pregnancy i aborted. I didnt think i was brave enough to take care of a baby on my own. I had no money..no home and no job. I couldnt do it." she said as she then started to cry

Im not good with the waterworks.

So i awkwardly sat next to her parting her back.

"there there" i said trying to comfort her

She then burst out laughing and i guess i did something to make her feel better.

"youre not good at this" she said

Oh...well then..

"well im sorry" i laughed " i only have brothers so i never really had to deal with this" i said

"well thanks for trying" she said

"no problem"

Maddie and i have become really close. She opened up to me just for knowing her 3 days and i feel extremely bad for not telling her about mark.

Maybe i should...no..no i shouldnt

"he's the dad" i said without thinking

"what?" she asked confused
