Shadow Part 3

You growled out in annoyance. It was maybe a couple of hours after Shadow had left you alone, but you wanted to take a shower. The thought that the hot water would burn your bruises made you wince, but that didn't matter because you felt really...dirty. You felt a lot better than early though. The bruises didn't hurt as much as they did. However, you were tossed on the sidewalk from the demon.

You examined yourself once again, noticing some bruises had slightly disappeared. Others had just turned more of a purplish color.

"Shadow!" You needed hat shower, to at least feel clean.

In a few seconds, Shadow appeared at the door. He raised a brow, waiting for you to say something.

"Uh... Can you tell me where the shower is?" You felt a little embarrassed. You've been to other people's places before. Just never a guys place!

  "Oh," Shadow have a small smirk, "Follow me."

He gave a gesture with his head and you slowly slid yourself off the bed. Pain shot up your back, making you wince. Shadow noticed and sighed.

"Are you sure you wanna shower? I don't think you would be able to." Shadow said, walking up to you and wrapping one arm around your waist to stabilize you.

"I'm sure!" You hissed, trying to ignore the pain.

He gave you a look before helping you through the hallway.

You actually couldn't help but blush.

C'mon! You hissed in your head. Chill, (y/n)! I know I'm close to him! I know his fur feels soft! And he smells nice...

"(Y/n), are you okay?" His deep voice stopped you from thinking, actually happy because some part of your mind was on the brink of some rather dirty thoughts.

"Huh? Oh, yea I'm fine!" You gave a small smile, trying so hard to ignore the pain on your back every time you a step.

He raised a brow, probably already knowing you were lying.

You sighed. But if you couldn't really move you wouldn't be able to take a shower. And what would happen if you fell? Shadow would have to help you up and out... Wait...

     (Y/n)! NOT NOW OKAY?

You shook your head not caring about Shadows slight chuckle about it. He didn't know what you were thinking. Right? He didn't have mind reading.

Shadow lead you through a door and you knew it was the bathroom. You saw the shower (which made you blink at how big it is) and you blinked.

"Wow, maybe I should start working for G.U.N., huh?" You joked.

You heard him scoff. You felt a tad sad when he let go of you. You felt like he had let you go slowly, but maybe that was just your imagination.

"Hold up," Shadow walked to the door, "You need some clean clothes and towels."

You nodded and watched him walk out of the door. After he left, you looked at the mirror and turned your back to it. You looked behind you and lifted your shirt. Your eyes widened at the scratch that stretched all the way from your left side and ended at your right shoulder. Bruises decorated your back as well.

     "That looks painful," You heard Shadow say, and you jumped.

     Quickly, you dropped your shirt and looked at Shadow.

     "Yea, it does," You winced at the thought of having that burn when you hopped in the shower.

     Shadow frowned at you. He set down the towels on a rack that was full of some shampoo, soap, and other shower stuff. You noticed that there was no clothes for you.

     "Uh," You pointed to your clothes, "Wha-"

     "I'm a guy, do you expect me to have some spare girl clothes?" Shadow interrupted, "I'll give you one of my t-shirts to at least cover you up and I'll stop by your house to get you some pants. What's your address?"

     You told him where you lived and he nodded leaving to get you one of his shirts.

     You were going to wear one of his shirts... You couldn't help but smile. Since you were alone again you couldn't help but think about everything. I mean how did you meet Shadow again? Ah, right. You had met Amy Rose during your college years. She was happily there and you really did like her positive attitude. She told you about her slight crush on Sonic, which more than a slight crush. When break came she dragged you along to met the rest of her friends, and after a couple of months you saw Shadow who had just jumped out of no where and told Sonic about this 'mission' thing. And that was when you found out that you happened to be friends with a bunch of heroes that saved the world. You have heard about it, but you never really watched the news or read the newspapers. You usually spent your time reading stories and you barely had friends.

     You snapped out of your thoughts when you saw Shadow drop a shirt on the towels.

     "I'll be back," Shadow nodded and left through the door, but this time closing it.

    You shuffled to the door and locked it, wincing at the pain from your back. Then you had your shower.

     After it, you dried yourself off and dressed yourself in the shirt you had been given. Your (f/c) was softer and your (h/c) was matted down from the water.

     You felt a lot better, the bruises really not hurting much.

    "Hey! Shadow! I'm done!" You yelled, opening the door and going out in the hallway.

     Shadows shirt was big, covering you like a dress, ending half way on your thigh.

     Shadow came from the living room and tossed you one of your pants. Quickly you pulled it on, putting on your sandals that you wore yesterday at the picnic.

     "Is it okay if I stay for awhile longer?" You asked and was happy when he said it was okay.

     I wonder if I'll be able to ever tell him how I feel?

     For once in your life, you never expected you to actually talk to Shadow for so long! You asked him questions and he had answered! You actually didn't want to leave. He'd actually snicker and talk to you. You'd only see him this once with Rouge. He only got along with her.

     "You need to go," Shadow nodded outside, "It's already almost dark."

     You nodded.

     "Alright, but, uh, would you like to hang out some time?" You asked.

     Shadow seemed shocked but he had quickly hid it.

     "I guess I wouldn't mind. But it depends. My job sometimes calls me out in random."

     You couldn't help but have a grin on your face as you practically skipped back toward your house.
