I know how every poet
writes about the ocean
but how can they not when they see your set of dark blue eyes
how can they not write about the waves crashing when they see your destruction rolling in like the tide
when your chest rises like
a tsunami wave
and your eyes show their watery surface as you recall your past
how can they not compare
the depth and danger of the uncharted ocean to a boy like you
