*Mayas POV*

My eyes slowly blinked open, and white poured in everywhere.

Is this, the hospital?

I thought about why I would be here.

Then everything came back too me.

"Oh no..."

Why was I still alive?

A short nurse with brown hair tucked in a bun came into the room.

She was on the phone.

"Yes, she is awake. Please inform the list of contacts. "

She then put down the phone and walked over too me.

-Time Skip, 2 hours later-

I was finally enjoying a peaceful sleep, when I heard the door burst open.

"Maya!" Riley came through and threw her arms around me.

"Hey Riles." I smiled weakly.

She then began sobbing.

"Maya, I'm so sorry I let Lucas come between us! I'm so sorry I wasn't there for you, especially through this. I'm sorry I was so selfish, I was blinded from what was really important..."

She smiled.

"You."

I smiled too, tears forming in my own eyes.

"Its okay, Riles. You could never do anything to upset me."

Riley stayed with me for a while, and Farkle came and did too.

Everything was fine, until everything went silent.

All because of him.

It was Lucas.

Farkle gave me a nervous glance, then left.

It was just, Me, Riley, and Lucas.

"Hey."

"Hi..."

I looked down. Sitting here, in this white hospital bed, was just embarrassing.

He probably knows why.

"Look, Maya, Lucas-" I cut Riley off before she even started.

"We all know what happend. There's no reason to just sit here and be awkward, because that's not how it has too be. Lucas, you like Riley. Riley, you like Lucas. Mrs. And Mr. Perfect. It was a match made in heaven. I'm just the tag along, messing that up. You guys deserve each other. I'm sorry I ever thought differently."

Lucas looked broken, surprisingly.

"No." Riley and Lucas both said.

"Lucas, Maya is more important too me. I was so caught up in trying to be the perfect match for you, I forgot about my best friend. I don't want a relationship like that."

I was shocked.

"And, Riley I always liked you, but I always loved Maya."

I froze.

He turned and looked at me.

"I'm sorry its my fault your here. I can't handle the fact that I hurt you, because I love you. I love you Maya. And I'm sorry I ever hurt you, and I'm sorry if you ever felt betrayed. But I will never, ever betray you.

I looked over at Riley.

Part of her looked hurt, but the other part looked happy.

"Thanks Lucas." I whispered.

He smiled, and I smiled back.
