I remember when we first met. I laugh about it now, because it was a cliché, really.

You were new in town. Your Father had gotten a job near here so you had to move.

I bumped into you in the school hall as classes were changing. I had knocked all your books into the floor. I felt horrible and frantically helped you pick the books up.

You laughed and told me it was okay.

I realize now, the laugh wasn't real.
