A/N: This is my entry for TheLittlePoet's halloween poem contest. I don't write much poetry now but I used to so I'll give it a shot!

This is a scary Halloween.
I can see by the gleam
Of the jack-o-lantern, thats right!
The creepy crawlies will give you a fright!
I'm dressed up as a clown.
No one has a frown!
We'll be trick or treating all night.
We'll eat candy 'till there is no light!
It is getting darker.
The monsters are getting scarier.
"I'm scared!" says my friend Parker
Because the werewolves are getting hairier!
Time to go home now!
Everybody take a bow!
We hit our major goal,
Our candy bags are full!

PoetryThis isn't my best, but I am proud of it! It's kind of short and simple, but it's an alternating stanza style that I've never tried before and it reminds me of the silly rhyming books from like 1st grade!
