Flipped

The "meeting"

I woke up with a face really close to mine. I mean really close. I jumped into a sitting position and the bronze haired boy backed away.

"Um...who are you?"

"I am Edward Cullen."

I expected a rough voice to come out of his mouth but it wasnt. A silky, calm voice came out.

"Ok, Eddy-"

"Edward, please." he politely replied.

"Whatever, Edward, thanks for some-what blocking that minivan."

"Your welcome."

"I was obviously being sarcastic."

"And I was obviously ignoring your sarcasm."

"Fine." i said.

I was done with this conversation, so i just stopped talking.

After 5 minutes of an awkward staring contest where you could blink, I finally broke the deafening silence.

"Why are you still here?" I replied. I was still tired even after probably a few days of sleep. My eyes were drooping a little.

"I wanted to make sure I didn't total my car for my damsel in distress to die!" he fake stressed.

I didn't answer. I stopped listening after I heard 'total my car'. I was immediately wide awake, with my mouth hanging open like a hungry goldfish who just got tazed.

"The yellow Porsche?" I gasped.

"Oh no!" he replied quickly, "The Volvo!"

Oh yeah.

When I didn't answer he stated;

"Well at least I get a 911 Carrera! My parents were going to make me wait for the Volvo to break down for me to get a new car, but you've just quickened the process."

"I still totaled your Volvo! Wait! Aren't 911 Carreras like $90,000?"

"Close. $84,300. So your pretty and you know cars?"

I blushed.

"That's beside the point." I stated.

"Yes but my dad owns the hospital you're... lounging in currently, and my sister has a own clothing store, so we don't exactly worry about that stuff."

"Have I heard of her store?" I questioned.

"Most likely. She owns Kohls." he smugly answered.

"No way! Esme Cullen is your sister?" I screeched.

"Shhhh!" he shushed. "I'm not supposed to be in here. It's 5 AM."

I checked the clock.

"Oh!" I said, surprised. The sun was just rising. The sun was a peachy orangish color, and it looked lovely against the violet sky around it. I loved sunrises because it's the only time you see the sun in the day. It rises and then the clouds cover it. The sunbeams then rose just above the hedges outside my window (which thank my lucky stars where on the 1st level, not the 6th) and Edward suddenly jumped into the dark corner.

"But Esme Cullen is my mom, not my sister. My sister, Alice Cullen, thought of the company when she was-" he paused for a second-"10, but not being able to start a company, my mom pursued it under her guidance." he continued, breaking me from my trance.

My eyes returned to his. His eyes were a pretty color, a rich butterscotch.

"How many siblings do you have?" I curiously asked.

"I have one sister. Her names Alice. I think you'd like her. She's like a bubbly pixi-"

He got cut off when we heard a noise. I froze, but started giggling as he tried to slide under the bed. The door opened an I saw a nurse come in.

"Oh you're awake! Are you feeling okay?" She asked as she checked the monitors on the table beside me. she was rather plump with a heart shaped face.

"Uh-huh." I quickly answered, looking at the floor to see if Edward made it under the bed.

"Do you want me to tell Charlie your awake again? You can probably go in an hour or so. All you have to do now is heal." she said, unplugging the monitors.

"Sure." I said as she closed the door. Edward then dragged himself out from under the bed, making the sliding sound of skin against wood, his shirt riding up his stomach a he scooted. He stood up, but not before he caught me looking at his 6 pack. He raised his eyebrow at me, causing me to blush.

"I should probably go before Charlie comes. See you at school today?" he said like a question.

"You go to Forks high too?" I asked, surprised.

"Where else would I go? Go Spartans!" He quietly cheered.

I laughed as he left the room. I then realized If I had school today that would mean its Monday. I silently counted. I'd been out 3 days!
