Part Four

"Melanie had been ignoring all my calls and texts. She's getting me so worried.."

His voice echoes inside your almost empty kitchen. "Have you two been fighting again?" He asks this time and you look at your phone in worry. "A little bit, just some misunderstanding Seb. That's all..." You tell him, your voice slightly cracking, hoping he wont notice. "I get stuck in the middle when the two of you are fighting.. I hate it" he sighs.

You could almost see him running his free hand through his hair and rubbing his chin. He sounds tired, probably from work, but you want to wait for the right time to tell him the truth about his beloved Melanie. "Really, bubs. What's going on?" He says and you bite your lip nervously. Its as if you could see him staring at you intently.

"I.. I need to go Sebastian, I have school work to be done. Just talk to Melanie. Good night" you say and press the end call button. You sit silently on the bar stool with the phone on your hand. You cant do it. You cant break his heart, but you feel like lying to him will only make things worse.
