jeongguk: i think i deserve a reward
soyou: please don't ask me to treat you to dinner

soyou: i'm earning peanuts
jeongguk: but you're working at one of the biggest malls in seoul
soyou: i just started working a few days ago oh my god

jeon jeongguk stuffed his freezing hands into the pockets of his huge coat. the mittens weren't really helping in this cold weather and he had forgotten to bring the hot packs out. a black beanie sat snugly on his head, covering his numb ears that were definitely turning red.
he quickened his pace and entered the mall to hide from the heavy snowfall. once inside, his phone vibrated.
soyou: oh no jeongguk
soyou: something cropped up ahhhhh
soyou: the ceo asked if me to have dinner with him
jeongguk: sAY NO
soyou: BUT HE'S THE CEO
soyou: WHAT IF I GET FIRED
jeongguk: a good ceo wouldn't fire someone just because of that
soyou: but i wanna leave a good impression ):
jeongguk: ... okay fineeee
soyou: i'm sorryyy ): next time okay?
jeongguk: yeah i guess i'll see you next time then
with a sigh, jeongguk pocketed his phone and walked towards the mall directory to see what he could buy for dinner. looking around the mall casually, he caught soyou descending the escalator with an unfamiliar guy. so he's the ceo.
the both of them were chatting amicably and subconsciously, jeongguk went behind one of the pillars so that they wouldn't catch sight of him.
she looked really, really happy. like burst-into-laughter-every-5-seconds kind of happy. jeongguk frowned. why would he even care who she was with?
but what's this bitterness creeping into his chest?
