Remember when you held my hand

And helped me take my first steps,

You picked me up and whispered

Softly, words I cannot forget

Remember when I started school

the tears rolled down your cheeks,

I slowly walked away craving

Another embrace

Remember when I graduated,

You stood so proud and cheered

I threw my cap into the air

And heard them words you whispered

Remember when you opened you eyes

And gave me one last glance,

Tears rolled down my face

As I breathed in your lingering taste

Remember the fun times we had

And how they are all gone,

I wish so much for one last touch

And for you to take this pain away.
