Chapter 10:

I scrambled to get on my feet as I dusted myself off and approached the twins. "Thanks." I mumbled before grabbing a water bottle from the tray. I swear, I could feel her piercing glare on me as I walked over to the corner and sat down.

Lucas followed my lead before slinging his arm over my shoulders. I tried to shrug it off but to no avail so I just ignored it. "It was fun." I said giving him a lopsided grin.

"Told you so." He gave me a smug smirk but his eyes were dancing with amusement. I groaned. "Don't start."

He pretended to zip his mouth before giving me a closed mouth smile. "Okay," I said, "I'll admit, it was fun."

He gave me another genuine smile before he chugged down his water. He stood up before offering me a hand. I gladly obliged ignoring the small sparks igniting in my hand.

Lucas shook his head as if thinking the same thing. What was that about?

"Let's go?" He asked looking at his watch, "We can go get dinner."

"Sure." I replied as Crystal and Michael walked over to us.

"Are you guys ready?" Michael asked as Crystal continued to glare down at me.

"Are you two coming with us?" I asked.

"I invited them," Lucas butted in, "They were hungry."

I wasn't fond of the idea of me and Crystal going to someplace in the same car together but I wasn't going to say that in front on her.

I pretended to shrug nonchalantly. "It's fine."

Michael fist bumped the air. "All right! Let's go get dressed and we'll meet you ladies outside."

"Wait, I don't have anything to wear."

"Crystal could lend some clothes to you, can you Crystal?" Lucas asked.

She put on a sugary fake smile. "No problem."

Once the two boys left, she turned to me. She sneered at me before flipping her hair over her shoulder and walking towards the girl's locker room.

I rolled my eyes at her, but followed her nonetheless. Once we were inside, she went to a pink locker.

It was pink. In a room full of blue lockers, it was pink. She must be here very often. "Here." She tossed me a white sundress that was a bit on the shorter side. It had blue trimmings and a floral design on the bottom.

She turned her heel on me as she started reapplying her makeup. I changed into the sundress before I faced Crystal again. She looked at me up and down before she walked up to me.

Since she was in heels, she was pretty much taller than me.

I was caught off-guard when she suddenly slammed me against the wall. Her bracelets piercing my neck as she glared at me. "Stay away from Lucas." She hissed.

Despite my current situation, I still had the courage to scoff at her. "I'm not stealing him from you. You can have him all to yourself. But in the first place, he was never yours to begin with."

I guessed that was the wrong thing to say when she slammed me harder against the wall. "Watch your tongue, princess." She sneered, "You don't know what I'm capable of, and trust me, you don't want me as an enemy."

With that, she released me from her grip as she walked out of the locker room. I took a minute to calm myself since I realized I was shaking. I splashed some cold water on my face as I looked at my reflection at the mirror.
