She was broken

Trust. Trust was something she used to give freely. She thought that everyone deserved a chance. That everyone had good inside them. After all darkness can not exist without light. She laughed bitterly. She used to be so naïve, so happy, so trusting, so stupid.

Nobody deserved her trust. She had given it away so often only to have it thrust back at her along with a broken heart.

Promises were just lies, covered with flowers making them seem harmless until they were broken.

She didn't trust anyone anymore, building her walls so high that no-one had the time nor the energy to break them, to even try to climb over them. And the sad part was, she didn't think she was worth anyone's trust.

Who would waste time on a broken girl like her?

and no-one was worth her trust.
