So he survived.

Great.

Just great.

"How great is it that me and my only daughter get to be on the same vampire army? Like a dream come true for any good father." I had to hold in every amount of rage that I held for this man because quite frankly, he was one of the most disgusting people in my life and I feel dirty know the fact that he tried to kill me around 3 days ago,

"You have a lot of nerve calling yourself a good father." His gleeful smile that was all for show, soon turned into a sneer, a look that I was more accustomed to in my lifetime,

"Now listen here you little shit, I raised you, I am your father so you better treat me with respect or I'll--" I got up from where I was sitting and got in his face, well as much as I could anyway,

"What? You'll do what daddy? Kill me? Because I'm pretty sure that you already tried to do that and failed quite spectacularly. You can't do anything because incase you didn't notice, I'm a vamp now too daddy, which means that I have the same strength that you do, maybe even more considering that I have the height advantage, being shorter means that I can kick you in your shrivelled up little sack that you like to call 'balls'." Silence fell over the room, you could practically feel my father's rage filling him up, ready to burst.

Before I knew it, he'd raised his palm and back handed me across the cheek. I kept my head down for a moment while the fat ass caught his breath from having to do the littlest of tasks. I raised a hand to my inflamed cheek and looked my father in the eye,

"Is that the best you can do dad? I'd return the slap if I took you for a man."

Just as my father was about to speak, the door creaked open and all the newborns eyes turned to Jasper, who had just walked into the room, with a burley man at his side,

"Hunter, please take out Mr Newhall,  I think he needs a few lessons knocked into him." The man- Hunter- nodded at Jasper and walked over to my father and grabbed both of his arms and dragged him out of the room, with my father kicking and screaming.

I had been watching the door that my father was dragged out of for so long that I didn't even notice Jasper walk up behind me until he lay a hand on my shoulder,

"Adeline? Are you okay?" I looked down at the hand on my shoulder, does he do this to everyone? Then looked him in the eye and nodded,

"I'm fine, I actually feel great, I got alotta stuff out that I'd been holding in for years, felt good to get it all out finally." Jasper nodded in understanding and dropped his hand from my shoulder,

"Well that's good then, come on, we gotta get you on the trainin' ground." It took a minute for me to process what he just said, and when it did finally sink in, I ran at him with my new found speed and stopped him in his tracks,

"Woah wait, you didn't say anything about a trainin' ground? I can't fight people! I just barely held my own just now! What makes you think I'll be able to fight someone?" Jasper looked down at me and smirked,

"That's why it's called a trainin' ground darlin', you train to fight there." I bowed my head minutely and looked back up to find that he'd carried on walking,

"Hey wait up a second." I ran at him once again and maintained a normal walking pace with him once I'd caught up,

"Okay so, why do we have to fight exactly? Like is there a particular reason that you're forming a vampire army?" Jasper glanced at me but didn't say anything for a minute,

"There are other vampire covens that need liberating, we need to be the biggest and the strongest, hence why we have so many newborns here, they're at their strongest once their a new born, their senses are heightened, they have a strength that is unimaginable to normal people, and it's a lot easier to convince newborns to join your side as long as you have the promise of blood." Just the mention of the word made my breath hitch in my throat for a moment, it's true that blood has a certain hold on me but I wouldn't say that I would join a coven if they promised me it,
