I wake up to the beeping of my alarm clock and slap it off. I roll out of bed and yawn, it's the first day of high school everything has to go perfectly. I slide on my new uniform khakis and a white polo shirt. I sit down, concentrating on doing my makeup and hair, making sure everything is perfect before I get up. By then I have ten minutes to eat breakfast and make it out the door. I run down stairs and my parents are standing there suspiciously. I eye them and ask "what are you doing ant Dad aren't you supposed to be at work?" My mom perks up and answers "Well, yes he is but we wanted to wait a give you this together." She pulls something out from behind her back, a jewelry box. My eyes pop out of my head as I open it. It was a necklace and teardrop Amethyst pendent with Diamond shards around it. It was a beautiful necklace, I am star struck, "thank you, thank you, thank you!" Is all that I can manage. I put it on and grab a bagel, smear on some cream cheese and I'm out the door. My mother right behind and we are off to my first day of the rest of my life.
