Chapter 15

The alarm clock jerked me awake. Kira growled and pressed her head into my chest, trying to avoid the alarm that probably shattered her eardrums. I reached over and shut it off.

"You don't have to go to school with me if you don't want to." I told her.

"I want to go to school with you. Not to mention I need to kill Alice." Kira told me. She snuggled her head into my shoulder.

"Tear her heart out for me." I smiled.

"Of course." Kira leaned up and kissed me on the neck softly before getting out of bed. "I have to go get Zoe back. You should go shower."

"But what about you?" I asked.

"I stay clean with magic." Kira explained. "I can't touch water."

"What do you mean- oh... right... water has a purification effect." I blushed a bit and she just smirked.

"It's alright. It doesn't bother me." Kira smiled. "I get by." Kira yawned a bit. "Just get ready for school." Kira stepped out of the room. I climbed out of bed lazily and grabbed an outfit before going into the shower. When I got out and got dressed, I headed downstairs to find Kira talking to Peredite.

"Of course. I promise not to go searching through anything!" Peredite smiled. Kira smirked, and seeing as I couldn't find Zoe I guessed she was back in Kira's body.

"So Peredite is stying home?" I asked.

' "Yeah." Kira shrugged.

"Not like I can actually go to school with you two. I wish I could, but I think I'd attract attention." Peredite smiled.

"Come on Ali, we should get to school." Kira smiled. She slung her backpack over her shoulder and offered me her hand. Peredite handed me my bag and I put it on my back and took Kira's hand. The two of us walked down the street together towards the school.

Drake and Jack looked at Kira a bit nervously, but Veronica just smiled. "You feeling okay Ali?" Drake asked. "I heard you were sick for a while."

"I was, but I'm alright now." I told them. "This is Kira. She's my mate."

"Where's Alice?" Kira asked.

"Inside." Veronica said. "It looks like she's waiting for Alison to show up."

"I'll be right back." Kira kissed me on the cheek before jogging up the steps and in the front door of the school.

"Do you really trust her?" Jack asked. "She's a vampire!"

I shrugged. "I love her. Enough said." I told him. "Now that I have her, I can't imagine life without her."

"I'm glad your happy." Veronica smiled.

"Thanks." I smiled. "She's been just as nice as all you guys, so yeah, I do trust her." I said. "She saved me when a Daybreaker attacked my family home. She also saved my mother when she was pregnant with me. She may not be a werewolf, but I don't need her to be for me to trust her with my life."

"Then I trust her too." Veronica smiled. The boys nodded in agreement.

The front doors swung open and Sapphire ran down the steps, tripping and landing on the ground. She then rolled over and looked up the steps as Kira stepped out, dragging another woman by the back of her shirt. The woman was bruised up a bit as if Kira had just beaten the crap out of her.

My wolf roared in rage at the sight of the woman. It took every ounce of control to fight my shift.

The woman was obviously Alice. She had black hair, and even though her eyelids were mostly closed, I could see her gold iris's. She was wearing jeans and a white t-shirt while Sapphire wore black flairs with a blue jean jacket. The woman was bleeding black blood out of the corner of her mouth. Kira must have clocked her right in the face.
