you took me to seoul for new year's eve. we were camped out on the banks of the han river. at night, we laid side by side on the old duvet you had brought, watching colorful fireworks.
as it neared midnight, we both sat up, crossing our legs.
10, we faced each other with glints in our eyes as fireworks popped above our heads
9, you bit your lip before smiling at me, the corners of your eyes crinkling up
8, i smiled back, taking in all of your angelic beauty
7, you took my freezing hands in your warm ones and squeezed them gently
6, you pulled my sitting figure closer to yours
5, you started to lean in, closing your eyes
4, i started to lean in too, closing my eyes
3, you moved your hands from mine and rested them on my cheeks
2, our lips brushed, only a few millimeters from connecting
1, the gap between us was closed, and i felt your soft lips pressed to mine
i was glad to have you as my new year's kiss. i had now reached third base. i'm one step closer to my new year's resolution, jinyoung.
