Imagine going to school with a young Keith Moon. He was your best friend and you pretty much did everything with him, and let's just say you were a little more than crazy about him. He sat next to you in math class and he was the only part of the class that was fun. So the two of you walked to the class together talking and laughing about the day's events when your other friend Pete ran up behind the two of you.
"Keith, (y/n)," he said as he threw his arms around you both, "my favorite couple."
You blushed and shot him a glare as Keith let out a shy laugh, "Shut up, Pete, you match-making fiend," Keith said.
"Just trying to help out a friend," Pete shot back with a wink.
"What do you mean by tha-" Keith started.
"Oh, look at the time," Pete said as he took notice of the look you were giving him, "looks like I must be off, good luck you two!"
Keith turned to you to see you were bright red. He looked you up and down with a smirk.
"Wonder what he meant by that, huh?" He asked.
You shrugged in an attempt to hide your nervousness, "Beats me. Hey, we're gonna be late," you said, scurrying off towards math class with Keith following behind you with a grin.
Thirty minutes into class, you were still blushing and nervously tapping your foot while trying not to look at Keith. You were so embarrassed and you were already planning on chewing Pete out the minute you left school. You felt a tap on your foot and looked down to see Keith's foot by yours. You looked over at him to see he was handing you a note. You gave him a confused expression, but he motioned for you to take it. You discretely grabbed it and unraveled it to reveal his words.
I think I've figured out what Pete meant, the first words read.
You looked back over at him to see he was nodding for you to continue reading.
I know we're friends, but I think I wanna try being a little bit more, what do you say? Give me a shot?
There were little boxes for "yes" and "no" and you couldn't help but let out a giggle as you read it. You grabbed a pen and scribbled in your answer, adding a little extra next to the box.
You handed it back to him and his eyes anxiously flew to your words.I thought you'd never ask.
He looked back up at you with a glimmer in his eyes. You definitely couldn't wait for class to end.
