Connor x Reader [ Gone ]

You know when something sad happens and it just happens to rain the next day?

Like the world is mourning for whatever happened in your shitty life? 

You don't realize how shitty it is until something happens and rips away everything from your hands. Everything you have ever known gone in a whisper. And sometimes it's for better things in life, like restarting something and just taking a breather. To just...be yourself. 

Sometimes it takes a while to get back on your feet and get things moving. Maybe you lost someone or something really important and you didn't know how to deal with it. 

Sometimes you cave in and just want to lay in a hole forever, without anyone to bother you. Sometimes you lay in your bed crying and crying over their lost and that's alright. Sometimes you just need a breather and need to get away. You can't lay down in that bed forever, you don't need to hurry out of your room too though. You can show you're alright by maybe getting up and making that bed. You can get out a book and sit down on the floor and read with the door shut. You can go half way down the stairs and sit down for a bit and go back. Just show the people around you that you are fine. That you need time to grieve and that's alright. 

Cause that's how I would want him to do it.

Yeah he would lock himself up in his room for who knows how long and just blame himself for everything. He wouldn't let anyone in and refuse to go out for a long period of time. But that wasn't what I wanted him to end up doing. I want him to get up and move around.

So he did. 

He got up and moved around, he talked with the people around him about the loss and how hard it was. He even cried a bit, which was good. It was a healthy start. True he came to visit me every day after that, he talked for a long time and I never got him to shut up, well I couldn't actually. I liked it when he talked for so long, he was getting good at putting some emotion into that monotoned voice of his. He would sit with me for a long, long time and tell me stories of what was happening. He would sometimes cry in front of me but that's alright. I let him cry. 

Sometimes he would come in fits of anger and curse at the sky and the world around him. He wouldn't sometimes just be....him. 

As time went on I saw a change in him. He didn't visit as much after that which made me sad at first but he always made time to make a couple of stops here and there for me. He came at least once a week to see me and talk. It was good talks too, sometimes he would even smile and just talk about his days. 

He grew up from there, moved on from me and....to be honest it hurt to hear about the other girl. That there was someone there that replaced me and his love for me. But he explained that no one could replace me, that I was never forgotten. He even brought her by once and she was pretty nice too. She cried a little when talking to me, saying how sorry she was and how she would take good care of him. I wanted to tell her two things.

1.....

"Stop crying bitch you don't have to say sorry"

2....

"Thank you"

But I never got the chance. But I will. Someday, hopefully later on, I can say thank you properly. 

Until then I'll watch from under the willow tree as they walk away, with a smile on my face and big heart. That was the man I fell in love for. Who I died for.

And just so you know, whoever you loose is never really gone. Just watching from a brighter place. 

Authors Note

Hey! So yeah this is a story about how the reader has died and watches Connor move on from his grieving stages in her own world. I wanted to do a little sad bit because I don't do a lot of them really. I thought this would be a great story to read from my short break from writing ^_^ 

Also I wanted to shout out to keep eyes peeled for a American huntress chapter, I know I have yet again lacked in that story but only because I have been extremely lazy.  I won't lie, I have been lazy on my writing but I'm trying to fix that.
