Episode 31: Regionals Part 2.

~Sydney~

I stepped out on stage and everyone went wild. I glanced behind me to see the glee club. Jake is flirting with one of the girls backstage. I felt a pang in my heart. What was that? I swallowed and looked out into the crowd as the music began.

Sydney: "Somebody said you got a new friend
Does she love you better than I can?
It's a big black sky over my town
I know where you at, I bet she's around
Yeah, I know it's stupid
I just gotta see it for myself."

I walked around on stage letting the music take control of me. I let all my emotions out through the song.

Sydney: "I'm in the corner

I felt my voice build as I sang. Getting more and more emotional. I glaced backstage for a quick second and noticed Jake was now watching me. Everyone's eyes were on me.

Sydney: "I'm just gonna dance all night

Stilettos on broken bottles
I'm spinning around in circles I'm in the corner

I prepare myself to put as much emotion into these next lines as I can.

I finished with a high note making the crowd go wild. I smiled brightly and rushed off stage to get into formation for the next song.

"That was amazing! So emotional! You had everyone's attention!" Mia exclaimed. I blushed and smiled. I thanked her and we were off singing the next song.

We all danced around just like we rehearsed. I danced with Blaine since his my cousin.

Tina: "So what?

Sydney: "OK, so the links in our chain makes us strange

We finished smiling at the crowd. Our performance is over. Now we just have to wait and see if it was good enough. Vocal Adrenaline was up next. We didn't want to listen and psych ourselves out so we left and went to the choir room.

"Sydney?" I heard someone call after me so I stopped and turned around to find the guy from the library.

"Hey," I said walking over to him.
"You were amazing out there. I could feel your pain," He said with a smile. "My name is Max." I smiled at finally knowing his name. I shook his hand.

"Well, hello there Max," I joked with him making us both laugh.

"You guys are gonna win, I just know it," He said with a smile on his face. I sighed and looked at my shoes.

"I can only hope."

Once Vocal Adrenaline finished we were all back on stage waiting to see who won. We were all holding hands. Praying that we won.

"In third place....the Warblers!" The announcer said. We held our breath waiting for the announcement we've all been waiting for. "In first place....."

"From Lima Ohio The New Directions!" We all cheered and hugged each other. Vocal Adrenaline glared at us from their spot.

"WE'RE GOING TO NATIONALS!" Luke yelled making us all cheer again. Luke then pulled me into a hug holding me there for a minute before letting go. We did it. We won!
