jimin stopped humming his song, turning his head to where darlene stood.

"i . . . don't know?"

"don't lie." she pointed her finger at him, her nails were painted in the color nude. she got it done yesterday with jimin at the nearest nail salon.

he was somewhat proud when the nail lady told him he looked good with her, but darlene just shook her head, telling the lady he was her mother's fiancé. and of course, she gasped in response, smiling right after she said sorry. she told jimin that he still looked like a teenaged boy and that was why she had mistaken him as darlene's boyfriend. and that obviously made him really happy.

"i'm not lying, darlene, what does it say?"

"say you will be mine."

"i will be yours."

darlene stared at him with a blank expression before she started to speak up. "very funny."

she rolled her eyes and walked away from his sight. and jimin found himself smiling twice wider than he was before.
