Levy yawned as she typed in the last of her grades. She didn't have any classes the last day of school being that she taught Senior English all day aside from her one Solid Scrip class but that took place during the morning so she had that class off as well. She smiled as she checked on how much she had left to type up. Only one page left. Not too bad.
Levy finished typing up the grades then hit save and the sent them in. She was glad she didn't have to fail a single student. She felt she did her job right. She wasn't going to be THAT teacher. She just hoped all of her students passed the rest of her classes.
Levy shut down her computer. She was glad she wouldn't have to use if for the next few months. She was also glad she wouldn't have to drive anywhere but to the doctor's for a check up if Gajeel was on a job.
"Jeez," Levy said with a sigh. She stood up and stretched then rubbed her round stomach. "Your daddy better graduate or I'm going to slap him." She smiled looking around her empty classroom. "Time to go home munchkin." She giggled feeling a bit silly for talking to her unborn child, but when she felt a small kick she smiled again.
Levy picked up her bag and grabbed her keys. She looked over her clean classroom one last time then flicked the lights off and walked out the door. She locked it and tossed her keys in her bag. She was about half way down the hall when she heard steps behind her and before she knew it she was no longer walking. She was squirming in someone's arms.
"Put me down!" She yelled squirming.
"Come on, shrimp." Gajeel said with a smirk looking into her eyes. "Ya have to be tired."
She sighed, "But this is embarrassing." She had a slight blush on her face. "Though it is thoughtful..." She looked towards the door that led to the parking lot.
"Gihee," He started walking towards the parking lot. "So ya comin' tomorrow night?" He asked as he pushed open the doors. He set her on the sidewalk.
"Of course, so long as you're graduating like you told me." She looked up at him with a small smile.
"Of course I am." He gazed into her eyes. She felt herself melting as she stared back into his crimson eyes. They were almost too much for her to handle. Almost.
Levy looked away before she ended up kissing him on school campus. It was a deal she and Gajeel made with Makarov, not PDA while on school grounds before Gajeel was offically not a student.
"Tch, is somethin' wrong, shrimp?" He asked putting his hand under her chin and making her look at him.
"I just really want to kiss you right now." She whispered. She looked at him then realized he shouldn't even be with her at that time. "Wait, shouldn't you be rehearsing?"
He laughed and shook his head, "Nah that stuff is borin'. I know how to use my legs." He smirked and pecked her cheek with a kiss. She gave him a look that told him she wanted him there. He rolled his eyes and sighed, "Fine."
"Good boy." She smirked knowing she won. "I'll see you tomorrow." He gave her a playful glare then walked back into the building. Levy smiled again and walked to her car keeping one hand on her stomach.
Gajeel sighed as he knocked on Levy's door. After she didn't answer he pulled his key out and unlocked the door. He had his cap and gown in his arms. He stepped into the apartment to find Levy sleeping on the couch. "Lev," He whispered looking at her. She looked a bit pale to him. "Levy." He was a bit louder that time shaking her slightly.
"Mmm?" She mumbled then coughed slightly looking at him sleepily.
"Ya okay, shrimp?" He asked.
She shook her head. "I caught something. I started feeling it this morning but thought it was nothing serious, I threw up before I fell asleep and well," she coughed, "Now I have a cough." She sniffed.
"Why didn't you tell me?" He put his things down and felt her head.
"I didn't want to worry you, plus tonight is your night." She gave him a weak smile and sat up. She leaned back on the couch and rubbed her stomach.
"Is the baby okay?" He asked looking at her curiously. He felt sick thinking that this could cause a problem with the pregnancy.
She nodded. "Yeah." She stretched. "Is it time to go?"
"I don't want ya goin' out." He looked at her and sighed.
"Too bad." She said getting up. She coughed again then looked at him. He found it cute that she was trying to act fine when she clearly felt like shit. He snickered and she glared at him, "What?" She said. Her voice was very muffled from her nose being runny.
"Well, I find it cute that ya think I'm gonna let ya leave."
"But Gaje-,"
"Nope."
"But-,"
"Yer sick." He put an arm around her and sat her down on the couch sitting beside her.
"But you graduated."
"I'll stop by and get my diploma then head back here right away." He said. He stood up and put a blanket over her. "I'll be back soon."
"But Gajeel..."
"No." He went out the door and locked it behind him. He knew she'd stay put.
Levy sighed as she grabbed a tissue. She felt horrible for making Gajeel miss his graduation, but then again he had called it boring the morning before. She blew her nose and yawned. She sighed again and fell over on the couch again slowly falling asleep again.
"Gajeel!" Lucy said smiling at him happily. "Why aren't you in your cap and gown?" She asked stopping beside him."I gotta get back to Levy." He looked at his girlfriend's best friend. "She's pretty sick."
"Oh," the blonde frowned. "Why are you here then?" She looked at him curiously.
"I'm here to get my paper." He said walking towards the school office building. She didn't follow him in. He sighed then went to the front desk.
"Hey," The woman behind it said without looking up. She was sorting through something. "Can I help you?"
"Yeah." He said leaning on the counter. "I need my diploma."
The woman raised an eyebrow and nodded. "Name? They haven't taken them to the field yet so I can just grab it for you. Why aren't you walking?"
"My girlfriend is sick." He said. "My name is Gajeel Redfox."
She nodded and walked over to a stack of binders. She looked through then grabbed one. She walked over and handed it to him. "Congrats." She said with a smile.
Gajeel unlocked the front door of Levy's apartment to see her sleeping on the couch again. He sighed frowning. Levy looked up at him sleepily. "Hey." She mumbled.
"I'm glad I didn't take ya anywhere." He said walking into the kitchen. He put his diploma on the counter and grabbed a pot. He started a pot of soup them walked back to the living room. Levy was sitting up again but she looked so tired. "Levy..."
"Don't worry." She said with a weak smile. "I'm fine." She sniffed again.
"Tch, if ya ain't any better in the morning I'm takin' ya to the doctor." He sat beside her.
"I love you!" She said holding back a yawn. She yawned as she hugged him tightly fighting the sleep she felt.
"I love ya too." He said. She cut him off.
"I'm proud of you." She coughed. She laid her head on his lap and smiled up at him. She touched his cheek and rubbed it gently with her thumb. Her hand dropped as she yawned.
"Rest." He brushed a piece of her hair behind her ear. "I'll wake ya when the soup is done."
She didn't say another word, but she didn't object. She gave into the sleep.
