Chapter 29

It's been another week and the guys from our little crew, found out where Kane was. Tommy called and told me and I called and tipped off my lawyer.
Ana has been getting Jay's stuff in order. She sold all of his plants except for 2. She kept one and gave me one.
   Cam and I have gotten super close and I think I want to make her my girlfriend but I don't want to mess up, so I'm trying to give it a little more time.
   My lawyer is coming over to talk to us in a little bit so me, Cam, and Ana are waiting on him.
   We hear a knock on the door and Ana goes and opens it. It's my lawyer.
   " Hey everybody."
   "Wassup?", all of us say.
   " I have good news and bad news."
   He comes and sits on the love seat with Ana.
   "Alright. What's going on?" I ask.
   " Good news is, we have enough evidence to arrest him. We just need a little more time to get enough to put him away for life."
   " Okay..And the bad?"
   " We can't have Kane picked up yet. If we have him picked up, he'll just buy his way out. I need you guys to be very careful. This man is very dangerous."
   " Damn man.."
   " Don't get caught up in this. You have helped enough and your friend Chris is helping as well. She will be released soon. I suggest that you guys leave and get out of here."
   " Thanks man. I've been thinking about it. Tell Chris I said hey and to hold it down."
   " Okay I will. I'm trying to get her out next week. I'll keep you updated. Let me know if you find anything else out about Kane."
   " Alright."
   We shake hands and he leaves. I look at Cam and she looks upset.
   "Hey.."
   She looks at me.
   " It's going to be alright. ", I say.
   " You're going to leave?"
   " I don't want to but it might be best."
   " I don't want you to go but I'm not going to beg you to stay."
   Ana goes and gets her bong and starts to smoke.
   " If I do go would y'all come with me?"
   Cam gets silent.
   " I might would if Cam comes. I'm already getting Jay's stuff done. I put his house up for sale. I have all of his valuables packed up, ready to be sold like he asked. He told me if anything happened to sell everything and anything I want, keep it. I'll bring some of his stuff over and let you go through it."
   " Okay. I'll help you with everything. Cam?"
   " Huh?", she says looking at me.
   " Would you come?"
   " I don't know? Why would I? I mean I would go if Ana goes I guess.."
   " I don't want to be without you.. You would have to come."
   " Why is that?"
   Ana looks up from her bong and they are both staring at me.
   " Um.. I really like you."
   " Not a good enough answer.", Ana chimes in with a smirk.
   " I.. Don't know?"
   " Nope! Try again.", Ana says.
   " Why do you want me to come so bad?"
   " I don't know..No female has made me feel this nervous since.. I can even remember.. I don't know."
   " Hmmm..", they both say, tapping their fingers on their lips.
   " Stop."
I start moving my chair towards the kitchen. I get in there and open the freezer and get out my bottle of Vodka and I stand and get a shot glass. I pour me a shot and take it to the head. Then I take another. I start to roll back to the living room and I hear them talking
   " I think her feelings are deep but she's afraid.", Ana says.
   " I know mine are deep and I want to be with her but, I need to know she's ready...I think I love her.. Is that bad?"
   " Wow.. Um no. I think she loves you too. I can see it. She just probably won't tell you but it's all in her eyes."
   " Really?.. I don't know. It's something holding her back but if she wanted me to leave with her, I would go. "
   " Damn man how did you end up falling for a fuckboy? Well used to be fuckboy.."
   " I don't know man. This shit is crazy...What is she doing in there?"
   " I don't have a clue. Probably avoiding us.", Ana laughs.
Oh shit! She loves me? Bruh..I think I am falling hard for her. I'm so mixed up. Ugh!
I put my face in my hands and then go take another shot. I'm super tipsy because the vodka is pretty strong. I put the vodka back and put the shot glass in the sink. I roll back out there and they both look at me.
"What?"
" Welcome back.", Ana laughs.
" Why are you so smiley?", Cam asks.
" I'm not.", I laugh.
"Have you been drinking?", Ana asks with a smile.
" Just a little bit.."
"Why?"
I shrug my shoulder and roll over there to them.
"You know you're not supposed to have alcohol with your meds ma'am.", Cam says crossing her arms.
" Sorry baby. I won't do it no more."
" Why were you drinking?"
" I don't know. I just need to relax my mind. My brain hurts."
" What you thinking about?", Ana asks.
" A lot.."
" Like?", they ask in unison.
" All this Kane stuff and you and Ana and I don't know.."
" What about me?", Cam asks.
" I um.. I really care about you and I want you to be my girl but I don't want to mess up. What if I fuck up?"
" Everybody makes mistakes boo. I think if you really want to be with someone, you can control yourself and not do dumb shit that would jeopardize what you have with them."
"True.."
" So since you won't ask, I will. Can we make it official?", she asks smiling.
Ana's face is in shock and I have a big grin on mine.
" Yeah..", I say finally.
" Are you sure you can be with just me?"
"I'm positive. I only want you."
"Awww!", Ana says, coming over and hugging us both.
Cam comes over, sits on my lap, and kisses me.
