Chapter Four ~ Louis

I spotted Zayn walking to us with his hands in his jacket pockets. He seemed a little down but happy at the same time

"Where the hell were you?!" I screamed at him

"None of your business" he grumbled

"No Zayn, this IS my business" I claimed "I am your captain and I need to know why your come so late to practice"

"I was busy okay?"

"You'd better not have hurt him" I growled

"As if" Zayn scoffed "I couldn't hurt him... Trust me, I've tried many times"

"Zayn... What happened to you?" I began to notice how flustered he was and how red he was

"Like I said" He shoved past me "I was busy"

"You were with him..." I realised "weren't you?"

"I was not with that little faggot!" Zayn hissed and tugged me so close to him that our heads almost touched "I am not gay okay?"

"Jeezus, it was an assumption" I shook Zayn off me "no need to get so sensitive about it"

"Shut your mouth Louis" he snarled "before I shut it for you"

"Man-period" I coughed

Zayn sat with the guys and Caden began to mock him

"Good afternoon Zayn"

"Go to hell" Zayn began to tie his laces

"Where's my little homosexual been to?"

"I'm not homo" Zayn said flatly "so shut up before I pound you"

"Oh come on" Caden prodded Zayn "we both know you've got a soft spot for Liam"

"For him?" Zayn scoffed "please, I have a softer soft for Marcel"

"Yeesh mate, that's harsh" Josh said "Liam isn't all that bad"

"What would you know?" Zayn snapped

"Well you pick on him... What do you expect from him? Manners and a praise?" Mike asked

"I don't want to talk about this okay?" Zayn asked "I'm pretty pissed off if you haven't already realised so leave me be okay?"

"Jeez Zayn" Sam laughed "it's like you kissed the boy-"

"What the fuck did you just say?" Zayn zipped to Sam and held him off the floor by the front of his shirt

"Put Sam down!" I ordered "I don't know what's gotten into you Malik but you'd better put it away, we have first game in two days. No time to waste on emotions"

Zayn dropped Sam on to the floor and shoved his hands back into his pockets. He began to walk away and half the team called out to him

"Malik, where the hell do you think you're going?!" I shouted

When he didn't respond I had no option but to threaten him

"If you walk away you are out of this sports team!"

He continued walking an when he didn't even turn around to look at me the entire team stood and watched him disappear into the distance

"Is he really off the team Lou?" Josh asked

"Yeah mate, I'm afraid so"

"He'll come back though" Mike said

"Doesn't matter" Caden looked up at me from the floor "whatever captain says goes, and if Zayn walks away he's no longer welcome"

I heard panting and I was quite surprised to find Liam sprinting towards the field

"Liam?" I asked confused

"Is Zayn here?" He asked

"Why?"

"He told me to meet him here" Liam looked for Zayn through the team "I was a little late but-"

"Zayn quit the team squirt" Sam stood up "he just left"

"What?" Liam seemed alarmed "why?"

"He was in a shit mood and when Louis told him off for trying to start a fight he just left without even turnin back"

"Oh god" Liam dragged his fingers through his curls

"So where have you been?" I smiled

"Library" Liam answered "reading Harry Potter, I had to find the next book"

I nodded

"Well you seem to be quick on your feet" I said "go see if you an catch him, he's just walked up there"

"sorry for the inconvenience" Liam apologised "I could try talk him back in if you want"

"Only if necessary" I nodded "otherwise you don't have to worry about it"

"Bye Louis" Liam smiled big

"Bye" I gave him the tiniest one in return

He went running in the direction that Zayn disappeared in... If Zayn was such good friends with Liam why didn't he just stay with Liam a little longer?

Soon Liam was gone and all the boys were impressed by his speed, including myself.

"I think we need him on the team Lou" Caden said "what do you think?"

"Definitely" I agreed
