Nicola's P.O.V

Before we knew it, spring was here, and tonight was the night of the 5SOS concert. The weather was beautiful, and finally getting warm. Meaning we could wear shorts and tanks if we were in the mood. Deciding what to wear to the concert was always the biggest problem we had, and we weren't the type of people who wore the stereotypical flannels or the band's merch. Eventually, we all came to the idea of what we wanted to wear, and were happy with our decisions.

Following our Q and A video and another cover posted onto our YouTube channel, our audience grew even more, and we couldn't be more proud or excited. Because of the jump, we thought it would be a fun idea if we went to the concert early and play a couple of acoustic songs while people wait in line. We had seen another group do it the year before, and promoted their band with no problem. Maisie tweeted out the idea, and a lot of followers who seemed to be going to the Charlotte show, said they would love if we play as everyone waits in line.

So, at around 2:30, we packed up our instruments into Maisie's car and went on our way to the venue.

A thirty minute ride later, and after parking the car, we finally made it to PNC Music Pavilion, and all of us couldn't be more excited. Because Christine was still pretty young, she and Maisie's mom came with, which was beneficial to all of us. After we played a couple of songs, we could put our instruments in her car. She also was technically our band manager, as my parents were always working.

We get out the car, guitars in hand, and I made my way to the trunk to grab my cajón.

"Do you need any help?" Ms. Kennedy asks me as I'm closing the trunk.

"No, I'm alright. Thank you though," I reply, and she gives me a friendly smile and walks over to Christine.

I pick the box back up and walk over to the girls.

"Everyone ready to go?" I ask excitedly, receiving a flurry of nods.

"Let's get this show started!" Sam says, we all begin to make our way to the front entrances, where lines and lines of girls are already pretty long for it being so early in the afternoon.

As we get closer to a grassy patch behind the radio station tents, we hear a group of girls scream, and we wonder who or what could have triggered it. All until we realize, a small hoard of girls jogging over to us.

"Oh my gosh!!!" One girl around our age screamed, "I can't believe you guys are actually here!"

"Yeah!" Said her friend with Melanie Martinez styled hair, half blue and pink agreed, "We almost thought you guys were joking!"

All of us laughed, and couldn't believe the crowd we were gathering. "Well here we are and ready to play a couple of songs for all of you guys!" I reply with just as much enthusiasm.

"Could you please play 'Kingdom Come' for us?" And the suggestion causing a roar of agreement from the rest of the girls around us. I look over to the girls and they all smile back, loving the idea.

We set up the small chairs we brought, I sit on top of my cajón, and begin to play. The sea of phones began popping up, filming and taking pictures of us.

3 songs later we decide to take a break, and take pictures and follow some of the girls who have been watching us on Twitter. I look down at my phone to look at the time, and see it says 6:15, time definitely flies by when you're having fun, but that also means the gates will open in fifteen minutes.

"Okay guys!" I yell to the girls and the rest of the band, "I think it's time for us to start packing up," I continue, resulting in groans and sighs from the crowd.
