a few feet away from her
everyone was laughing
drinking and dancing like they never did before.
she felt empty and realized
that she didn't want to do the game anymore.
she didn't want to see that look
on her mothers eyes,
everytime she came home drunk.
her parents caused her a lot of pain
with their divorce but it was their choice.
she realized that she didn't only want to bring home
a boy so her mother could see that
she wasnt a loner or a loser that nobody wanted.
at last, she wanted to find happiness.
if she couldn't find it home,
she would find it in a boy.
hopefully that wouldn't make her cry,
again.
like that time.
